So, living in this world, so there is no necessity of even going to Heaven ( Sorrgham) - to say this way , also - the Azhwars have shown us. , thavira, Yaan Poiy Indira Logam Aalum acchuvai, perinum vendean, arangamaa Nagarulaanea" !! So, what is the meaning of these song verses is that " After seeing your darshan, after obtaining your Divine grace, I dont pray for anything else, apart from the grace of your Divine feet( Thiruvadi Arutsuvai). -- apart from the Indira logam administration. Even Vedantha Desigar also has told in a similar manner. What is there in Vaikuntam? Being in this world, thinking and chanting the name of God and going to pilgrim God's

places, being with devotees and singing the praises of the Lord. "Koodiyirudhu kulirndheloa, rembavaai". This sort of happiness and bliss, where do you find in "VAIKUNTAM". "Ingeyea Irudhuthu Pogirain"- that is " I will be here only". So, you all are doing this only. Singing the songs and praises of God, chanting the namams of God, doing service to God, in some way or the other. To be like this only, is maximum happiness. I always used to say, the chase is more interesting than the hunt. When going hunting for the Deer,

after shooting the deer, it has been shot and fallen down, means what is there?.There is nothing. The game is over. Having a bow and arrow in your hand and run like the deer and hide behind a tree. Doing all this , you feel you get a kick out of it. So, when you are in the stage of searching for God, in this stage, you dont get the bliss and happiness, after you merge with God. One one person came and asked me, " How to become God"?. I said " Don't become God". I became God, What is the use? I have to come down to serve all of

you. Who understands? So be a normal person. This is enough. Never try to sacrifice like me, work hard to become God or realizing the truth. Whatever has happened, now what did I do? I have built a temple, ring the bells and do pooja and yagams, for people who come, I put the chair for them, and arrange the Mike set for them, and give prasadam to everyone here. I can leave all this and can go to VAIKUNTAM and say I dont want anything and be there peacefully. That is the concept of Azhwars. "Kedum idharaayin, ellam kesava"- whatever shortcomings is there, whatever

problems is here, and whatever obstacles are there, when you call out "Kesava", it will all go away. So, you can be in this world and do that and go. If you call out "Kesava" means it is over. Azhwar, in another place -"Idhar kaadargalaiyum, Maatha pitha yena, Naan unnai varithean, ini, yaathamal, yaadhaam ini". Whatever happens , what is going to happen. God, you take care. When you accept God as your Father, Mother, friend,etc, there is nothing to fear. You can be very happy. And look very seriously at people who

attain God. They are like very ordinary people. For example: there was the first 3 Azhwars. Boothath Azhvar, Poigai Azhwar and Pai azhwar. What did these 3 Azhwars do? Normally, very simple, like us only, they went to different temples and bathed in holy rivers. So, once in Thiru-koviloor, in one place, a person was standing in a shade for the rains. Second person came in and asked "Can I come in"?. One person can stand, second person can sit. He called " come in"- Vaanga"!.The third person came in. "2 persons can sit , the third person can stand". So you also can come. God understood these people had the maturity of sacrificing what little they had. So in that dark place, where they were taking shelter from the rains, all the 3 Azhwars got the darshan of Perumal.- So this is the story of the three Azhwar's life. Whatever little you have, trying to share with others. This is all , that is called the Bhagavadha Pandadhi. Even if you do this also, like the 3 Azhwars, you can join another person. You also can achieve this. Next, there was Kulasekhara Azhwar, being the king of a state, even

not being bowed down by the pleasures and treashures and royalty of the kingly power, he used to call all bhaghavadhars and listen to Ramayana. Once, when a Upanyasar ( the one who speaks about the Ramayana )-was telling a story, he told " In todays' Ramayana War, Rama had trouble". When he told this, this king got very angry. "Senadhipathi "- Minister-(commander)- Please to and call all our army of soldiers with weapons. Rama needs help"!. In such level of esctasy for Rama, he was immersed with Rama. Then the Upanyasar said "Now, Rama has won the war". He lived with Ramayana, though he was a king in a different Yuga. You may be an advocate, or you may be a doctor; you may be a teacher , you may be a X or a Y, but you can merge your thoughts with the Lord and do whatever duty, God has given you and you can also become like Kulasekara Azhwar. What did Thirupaanai Azhwar do?. He was on the other side of the Ranganathar temple, near the other side on the banks of Cauvery river. He was singing the praises of God, thinking of only God in his heart. Craving that he could not have

darshan of the Lord. Perumal sent the big Acharya of that temple " Ulopasaaranga Munivar" and told him " There , my devotee is craving for me, singing my praises and longing for my darshan. He will say that he will not come. But, you should put him on your shoulder and should carry him and come"! As told by Perumal, Thirupaanai Azhwar refused to come, (as he was from a lower caste), Butas told by Perumal, the munivar, carried him on his shoulders and came to the temple. Immediately, on seeing the Perumal , Thirupaanai Azhwar sang " Aranganai Kandha Kankal,

verundrai Kaanaavea "! - that is " The eyes which I have seen this Perumal, should not see anything else" and so Perumal- merged Thirupaanai azhwar with him. So, you see, Thirupaanai Azhwar has sung totally only about 10 songs for Perumal, craving for the darshan of Perumal, being on the other side of the Temple. Andal held Thirumaal through her love, and God only sent Vallabha Devan to make Mango leaves Thoranam- decorations, and bring her in a Palenquin and made Andal merge with God. So, if you see, if it is only Andal lifetime. and Thirupaanai Azhwar lifetime. If you ask ,Will we also get such a kind of experience? A Mughal Emperor's grand daughter was totally devoted to a small idol of "Chella Pillai" Perumal of Thirunarayanapuram. Ramanujar, with the Sultan's permission, took the idol, when the girl was

sleeping. When the girl came to know of it. She also , came behind it. Understanding her love and devotion to the idol of Chella Pillai perumal, he also took the girl , along with the idol in the Palanquin. And whey they reached near Mysore, she had merged with the idol! . "Swamy thaan vendum" enru Uttraaraiyum, Arasangathaiyum, vittu Odi, vandhadhu, avar thaan seydhadhu". That is " She had a firm belief that she wanted only God -- and left her people and the kingdom and ran away , and all this God only did it, due to her true devotion and Love to God. She merged with Perumal in the Palaquin. She became Thulakka Nachiyar. Such was the level of her love , her craving for "Chella Pilai"- Perumal- God; If you have to merge with God, you also can merge with God, like Andal. You also can become like

Nachiyar. PeriYazhwar, thought of Krishna like a small child. Immediately, on seeing Kannan, "Drishthi Pattu vidumea" - enru-- ( other eyes will fall on him)- so he sang a song for Krishna "Pallandhu, Pallandhu Pallayirathaandhu...! According to him, Krishna was a small baby. He should be nice. "Thirumanjanathirthu Vaa"! enru sonnar. This is all that he did. Always and through out, he had the thought of God in his heart and that is why, today he is one among the 12 Azhwars. Being in the position of having his daughter , getting married to Perumal, he was so lucky and worthy. The people who do poojas in our temple cant they become a Azhwar! Whoever does poojas, can become so devoted to God! You should have the urge to merge with God. That is all. Ok, another person,

does Perumal service. you should server Perumal's devotees food, for that, he didnt mind to even steal and became "Thirumangai Azhwar" - and for him also, Perumal, gave his feet deetchai- feet darshan for him. So, what you do, is not important. Your thoughts should always be thinking about God.
