Guest guest
On Dreams… As a sequel to my 2 previous mails, I wish to add this as it would cover a few significant dreams on Baba I continue to remember vividly... I’ve never had any such dreams before I came to Baba, but my journey towards HIM began with dreams… In my 2 previous mails, I had described 2 dreams on Baba. I thought I would add the following to the series as well… 3. I had begun to visit Baba more often after my first visit to Kelambakkam (as narrated in my previous mail). It is during this time that I had this dream… I am in cave circling a yaga kundam with SOMEONE leading me from behind (hands locked together). There is a silver ‘kavacham’ of Vinayakar near this kundam (similar to the one at SAM) and a lady clad in a white saree is sitting in front of it. She tells us “naan yennappa panradu, Vinayakar varam koduka mattengrarae”. On hearing these words, I try to disengage my hand from the one holding me from behind and try to move away saying ‘Samiyya paathu kudukalenna yennakku Onum venaam’ THE HAND BEHIND ME RESTRAINS ME AND PULLS ME BACK and then the lady in the white saree puts forth her hand and utters “inthaa nee keatathu keata mathiriae”. I woke up and discussed this dream with my parents and presumed that the lady in white was probably Mayama (of who I had read recently read). The only thing was this lady in the dream had been wearing glasses… During my next visit to Neelankarai (after my visit to Kelambakkam - whenever I visited Neelankari, a reluctance to leave the place when Baba was around started gripping me). After the morning Pooja/counseling Baba went out saying he would be back. Subramaniam aunty and I had no heart to leave the place till he came back. So we decided to wait till he got back. During this time, Baba’s trip to 'Thai Patham' was screened for viewing. As I was watching this, I saw this scene of Baba and the lady I saw in my dream – the place, the feel, and everything else was as was in the dream! – (It is of course normal to dream of places we have seen, but here was I viewing a literal replay of my dream minus me in it!) - In total astonishment and awe I kept telling everyone who would listen sitting nearby that I had seen the same place/scene atmosphere in my dream… 4. In another dream I am standing alone with Baba at Neelankari and then there is this living breathing God (a breathing dark statue-like supernatural human form with a protruding face (Varaha?) with hands holding the sangu and chakra … the breathing form fascinates me and I stand transfixed…the time and age seems to be a very, very, very, bygone age…then realization slowly dawns as Baba and the image of a bygone era seem to become whole and one… 5. Another significant dream is that of Baba standing behind a Siva Linga (dressed in white) in the sanctum Santorum of a very ancient temple. I forgot about this dream completely until my visit to Shankaram Koil. As I entered the Sivan Sanathi, I remembered seeing it vividly in my dream with Baba standing behind the Siva linga. 6. Sometime last year I had this dream in which my mom and I are running around a long but empty queue line, and then I find myself in a dimly lit place. Sathya Sai Baba clad in orange robes is sitting in the middle and a crowd is circling around him. I too circle around him and on an impulse bend down and whisper in his ears that Shiva Shankar Baba enquired about him. He looks up at me and raising both his hands utters “HE, HE IS GREAT GREAT” and on uttering these words he disappears instantly leaving behind a sack cloth in his place! – people around me tell me that the very mention of Shiva Shankar Baba had the effect of making Sathya Sai Baba rush to merge with the former! When I recounted this dream to Baba, he told me that many people have dreamt of Him (Baba) in white clothing and Sathya Sai in orange robes merging together. 7. There have been a few more such similar dreams as well… the recent one is in a ‘Sivan’ temple where I see a Siva Lingam decorated with a face in sandal paste, sitting with one Leg atop and across the other and Kanchi Paramacharya Periya Periavar (‘Shankara’chariyar) is also in the temple. (this is the second time Paramacharia has appeared in my dream – the first one again ,was soon after I started coming to Baba) I don’t know how all this would be received, because I probably would come out as a “Big Dreamer” (chuckle), but believe me, none of these dreams were because of any preoccupation in this regard. Apart from my love for Baba, I don’t even know how to offer a focused prayer or meditate, nor can I lay any tall claims in the path of Spirituality. I write this purely for the PLEASURE OF SHARING THE GREATNESS OF BABA and how HE IS PLAYING HIS ROLE in molding even nonentities like me! Shankaram Siva Shankaram Vakkeel Never miss a thing.
