Guest guest
Shankaram Siva Shankaram People restrict themselves to self-formed cages, assuming that life is like a railway track that trains must move on. That immobilizes them from understanding their innate divine potential. A train cannot move of its own accord through the dense mountains and wild forests and explore the magic of nature. Spiritual life must run like the river, trace its own course, as it journeys at its will, till it ultimately reaches the sea - - that is how the soul gets absorbed into the Paramatma Sagara (Ocean Divine). Learn the good from everyone, but blaze your own trails. That is the way of spiritual life. There are no religions. The religions that exist today are a form of hero worship. People who like Jesus Christ and his ideologies and followed him, became Christians. Followers of Mohammed Nabi, titled themselves Muslims. People who like the form of Siva, and were influenced by the teachings of Adi Sankara, called themselves Saivites. This is how religion came into being. See, the followers of both Madhwa and Ramanuja are Vaishnavites in spirit, but their devotion to their Gurus differentiated them into Madhwas and Vaishnavas. There is nothing like Heaven and Hell. All these exist in your mind. When a man decides that he will be peaceful, come what may, then nothing can change his peace. If, on the other hand, he has decided to be disturbed, then not even the greatest saint can make him a happy person. That which you think, you are. So if you have decided to be in heaven (happiness), then nobody can force you into hell. But, if you have decided on hell (sorrow), then nobody can give you heaven. Choose what you want, and you will have it! Learn to love God directly as the one worth loving. If your love is sincere, then concentrate on knowing everyone as a form of God you love. But never develop attachment. That will turn into a source of annoyance for you. You will miss this world during the time you spend on someone, because attachment has limitations. Loving God will never leave you depressed, because only God is a Limitless Phenomenon. A dog tirelessly gnaws at a bone, the bone wounds its jaws, and the dog, tasting the bleeding of its jaws, assumes that it is the bone that is the source of such taste. In reality, there is nothing in the bone. So too it is with worldly pleasures and experiences. There is nothing in the world. Everything stems from within you. Not knowing that the Source of Eternal Bliss is your own Self, you pursue the world in vain, just like an infant that sucks its thumb assuming it is drinking milk. The pains and pleasures you undergo in this world are not external, they are the result of your own thoughts. When you are happy, the world seems to be a paradise. When you are sad, the world seems a gloomy place. As long as you do not understand this, you are in a state of illusion. Once you comprehend this, you have attained enlightenment. Then no cause for depression. The first thing you need to understand is marital life is not where you display your prowess at martial arts (Baba laughs)There is a good English novel, a story of an elderly couple looking back at their life together, analyzing what they did wrong, what they did right, and given the opportunity and the wisdom that age and maturity has presented them with, what they would like to rectify. Through this analysis, they understand that they were foolish and the blunders they had committed due to the ignorance of youth. Then their whole life pattern changes. So instead of waiting for another 30 years, you can make use of the experience this book gives you, to mend your ways. Another good book, ‘Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus’. The basic approach of this book is, when human beings come across extra terrestrials, they do not expect them to function like human beings. They are able to understand that their food habits, dress culture, activities will all be different. The book advocates the wife to assume that the husband is from another planet and therefore his attitudes and actions are bound to vary from hers. Similarly the husband must presume the wife to be from another planet and accept differences in her thoughts and actions. So, do not expect anything of a relationship; accept people as they are. Resentment crops up only when you expect someone to behave in the way you want them to, but if you are prepared to understand that every one is an individual personality shaped by their family culture, and social, cultural, economic environment, you will learn to accept them for what they are. Within! The moment you stop looking outside and start seeking within, you will realize that is where God has been all along. This is the enlightenment that wise men (gnanis) have attained. Do not be worried about whether you will be enlightened in the solitude of the forest or the hustle of your town. You can be in total silence even when you are in the midst of a thronging crowd. And your mind can be in total chaos even if you are in the forest. Environment is not a barrier for silencing your mind. The moment you conquer yourself, you will have attained God. You should co-operate with the process. The veil does exist. It is the question of someone drawing aside the blinds and unveiling the divine statue within. I will facilitate that process. But, I will decide the time. He who has already come to Ramarajya needs to follow only two norms. 1. Whatever happens, do not let go of me. After you leave, there is no point in asking why the veil still exists. Perhaps the very thought of leaving is in itself a test; so you must be careful. 2. You must allow the teacher to decide when you will pass. You cannot pressurize him to give you a pass mark. At Samratchana, you are always under observation. Nothing escapes my eye. I evaluate you every minute, and I know everything because I am part of all the teams that serve here. So how can my judgment be wrong? You must bide your time, follow what I say and then you will realize that you are the very divinity you have been seeking all the time. - Love Baba " chat & be Happy " Shankaram Siva Shankaram" -Maha Get an email ID as yourname or yourname.
