Two reasons. I have understood that every one of us is filled with the same energy. It is the question of one realising it and the other not realising it. All of us are same. We are like the waves of the ocean. Each wave is not different from the other wave. The taste, the colour, everything is same. Some waves look smaller; some waves look bigger. This is because of the quantitative difference. Qualitatively, you and I are filled with the same Energy, same Divine Light. Quantity wise whoever tries more, gets more. It is the quantity in us, which makes us look big or small. So if we work hard, we can also increase the intensity of Light in us. It is no one’s private property.

How can rain pour more in one place and less in one place? How can the rays of the sun choose between a pure river and a dirty river? How can air choose between a good man’s nose and a bad man’s nose? Nature treats everyone alike. We should also follow suit, because we are part of nature itself.

I do not find any difference in you. I do not want anyone to worship anyone. I do not want anyone to follow anyone. If you find I have a better quality in me, you can learn it. If I find a better quality in you, I will learn it. If I have something to give you, I will give you. If you have something to give me, we will share it. It is like you have the jam, I have the bread, let us both eat to our heart’s content.

All of us are the same. You have no need to follow anyone. Learn something from everyone. Every person you come across may have something to teach you. Keep your eyes, mind, ears open. And do not follow anyone blindly; do not learn anything blindly. There is an inner mind guiding you; it will tell you what is good, what is not. So follow your own voice, because you are that. YOU ARE THAT! Whether you know it or not, all are divine; all are good.

It is a role that we have come to play. In a given drama, somebody has to be a hero, somebody has to be a villain, somebody has to be a servant- - it is a role you are cast in. And a good actor will convert the smallest role into an Oscar award performance. It is within you to play it well. Anyone can get the best actor award, provided he does his part well. All are roles and in a given drama, how can everyone play the role of a hero? We need anti-heroes, we need heroines, we need jokers; else the drama will not be good. It will become monotonous.

 

Determine how you want to live. Then develop some systems to protect you from whatever disturbs you. The reason why people are not cheerful is because they have decided to be sad. Once you decide that you will be happy, none can stop you. You lose out on enjoying your happiness because you are anxious about what the future holds for you. You have a fear of the future, and this gives you a feeling of insecurity and an inferiority complex. He who conquers fear, is happy. Once you decide not to be afraid of anyone or anything, there will be no reason for undue stress. Understand this truth: if God

decides, you will get whatever you want; if God thinks otherwise, none can give you anything. Everyone in the world is an instrument of God. So, conquer fear. Trust in the wisdom of the Supreme Power.

Have absolute faith. And resolve to be happy always. Then it is happiness and nothing else for you.

Every time things seem to be going wrong, stop for a minute and remind yourself that God knows what He is doing and He does only what is good for you. That is enough to solve all your problems.

Karma Rogam’ means a disease caused by Karma. Only if that karma is relinquished would you be cured of it.

In that case, in order to relinquish your karma, you would need the assistance of a Gnani or Siddhar like us, you need our compassion. I understood this scientifically. We take so much pain to cure a person of cancer. But even educated people question us thus – “if you can cure people of cancer, then why Doctors? Why hospitals?†Do you know how much penance would have to be forfeited to cure cancer? Let us say you have a liability of 100 rupees. Then I have to give you 100 rupees from my assets for your debt to cease.

Karma is like that. I should give you some of the strength of my merits. Only then your karma will balance and you will get better. This is the secret.

I realized I do not have to waste my hard earned merits of my penance and charity in curing those who do not even believe me. Therefore, I constructed a hospital. I said you can get treated here for free; even medicines would be supplied to you free of cost. All those who were criticizing me until then started proclaiming, “Baba is very good person, he has even constructed a hospital.†I find this very funny. With the power of my Yoga and penance, I can heal you of any ailment by just a touch. You do not have to pay me a single penny. Yet, that

language is not understood. After I created the hospital they call me a good person.

If Gnanis like us just place our hand on a person’s head and say, “All that I know will also be known to youâ€, it would suffice. It is the Transfer of Energy. But no one is able to understand that language.

I constructed a school and people started saying, “Baba has created a very good school.†During the last 10 years, I have changed my methods a lot. Instead of healing people by my touch, I constructed a hospital. Instead of directly doing good to people, I created a temple which operates through my spiritual power. I can directly give you wisdom but I constructed a school and said, "Come and study here, we’ll see what can be done". See how much I have changed! That is because people are not able to understand the language of That

World, they can only understand the language of this world.

So, there are so many facets in a single Siva Shankar Baba’s life!
