Guest guest
Shankaram Siva Shankaram What we see in the external world is but a fabrication of our human mind. Nothing is true; every image is concocted for specific purposes.Take the case of a butcher throwing away the bones of animals after carving out the flesh. A dog pounces on the bone and starts gnawing at it, assuming that there is still some flesh on it. As it continues chewing, the bone wounds the tooth gum which starts bleeding. The dog persists in its assumption, resulting in the entire mouth being covered with wounds. Observe and you will understand that what I say is true. The external world is like a bone; there is nothing it offers. Desires and pleasure stem from you. When you feel pleasant, you presume that the world is a source of pleasure. When you feel sad, the world seems a source of sorrow! As long as you assume that the world is the source of joy or sorrow, you are an Agnani wallowing in worldly illusions. When you understand that joy rises from within you, you are a Gnani. Karma Yoga (performance of one’s ordained duties) too is an effective instrument for meditation. Meditation is focusing your mind on something. So, if you involve yourself totally, with absolute concentration on whatever task you have on hand, that becomes meditation. The mind must not waver anywhere. To untie a knot, you have to analyze how it was tied and then slowly and steadily attempt to release it. If you hurry through the process, it will land up tauter than before. A patient attempt will surely help you unfasten it faster. When you pass a string through a needle, do it patiently lest the string breaks. Similarly, the cause of your present bindings is in your past birth. It makes sense to allow an all-knowing Mahaan to unravel it for you, in a way that is best for you. There is a parable in the Bible: Jesus is seated in a chapel. A poor lady places a one-rupee coin in the Hundi (charity box). A wealthy person donates ten thousand rupees. Jesus asks his disciples, ‘Who offered more to God?’ to which a disciple replies, ‘Obviously the wealthy person’. Jesus says, ‘No. It is the poor woman, because she has offered God all that she had’. That is how devotion works. You must have the will to give God whatever you have. Have you ever thanked God for granting you a healthy life, house, spouse, children, ornaments and vehicles? Have you ever mounted a plaque on your gate declaring that your life was low profile till God granted you such wonderful possessions? On the contrary, you are keen on having your name flashed as donor, on a half-a-penny worth tube light that you give to the temple. Your dealings with God are very business-like. Rather, devotion must be an expression of gratitude towards God for all that He has conferred on you. If you practice love, devotion and selfless service, Divine Grace will be yours. Who decided the karma? We decided the karma. So, the options are always there. We ourselves know what actions yield what type of results. If someone decides to knowingly fall into a pit, there is no blaming anyone else afterwards. He had the option to fall into the ditch or circumvent it. Knowingly he fell into the ditch. So, he cannot blame any one for that. No one has decided the karma for him. He decided the karma for himself. We have been assigned the bondage of worldly life to absolve ourselves of our karmas due to our actions across births. If we run away from this, we will be only extending our punishment to more births. God provides us with whatever is necessary for life - - food, clothing and shelter. When our term is over, He Himself will send His representative to free us from the bondage of this prison. So think good, be good and do good till the Good God takes over us as His. You write your destiny! God has not yet got anyone to serve Him. Even you are finding it difficult to get a servant nowadays. Is it not then more difficult to live up to God’s expectations? 1. You need to do your duty correctly. 2. You must be perfect. 3. You must be honest. 4. You must be efficient. 5. You must work hard. 6. You must not have the least trace of selfishness. Only then can you get along with God. , Baba is not available for sale, But He is Available only for love. - Love Baba Chant & be Happy “ Shankaram Siva Shankaram “ Dear Friends , among above 6 points we can always fit into 3,5,6 easily…….. very easy step to be looked upon by God with our heart filled with “ LOVE †for God - Maha Looking for local information?
