Guest guest
I have been an allergy sufferer for years and I've finally come to a conclusion that allergists do not care about their patients' needs, they care more about the money. I have bad spring allergies. My symptoms are a stuffy nose and itchy eyes. My allergies consist of pollen, grass, trees, dust, and weeds. I currently take Allegra for the nasal congestion and Opcon A eye drops for the itchy eyes. I recently went to a health food store and they have an abundant supply of homeopathic medicine. What would be a good, safe natural medicine to combat the springtime allergies? My wife has bad sinus headaches and congestion. She, too, has gone to the allergist and got nothing but the runaround. What would be a good natural medicine for sinus problems? I appreciate any helpful information. Thank You, Dave
Guest guest
Dave, Stinging Nettles, an herb, comes to mind. It releaves the stress of anti-histamines, gives relief. It may help heal the allergies by this symptomatic relief, but it doesn't seem to raise one's resistance directly. Consider vitamin C, bioflavanoids, quercetin, NAC, -- and I understand that Selenium would be helpful. OPC (Proanthocyanidins). Suggestion: With this list in hand, go to a health food store and see what combinations they have that include these nutrients. Suggestion #2: go to www.sedona.com The emotional undercurrents affect our immune system in a very direct way. See how you feel about what you see at this website. When in practice, we treated many people successfully with the Sedona Method - helped them a great deal. We dealt with their TMJ stress syndrome on many levels, and the Sedona Method was always a major part of it. -hope this helps. Guest guest
Wow everyone!!!... Lots of great ideas!! Ok, let me throw in my 2 cents... To do this properly from a homeopathic perspective- what makes the itchy eyes or stuffed nose better/worse? Perhaps applications of heat +/or cold? Or does being inside or outside matter, what time of day is it better/worse? Are you more/less thirsty than normal? Are the eyes red and inflammed or glassy, or droopy? Can you blow anything out of the nose at all? If so what color and consistency? Same with the eyes- are they running? Is there pain? Any unusual food cravings going on at the same time? Any disturbance of the sleep pattern? Even if they are not unusual for you, they might be helpful bits of info to know... And basically anything else that we can go on that makes your itchy eyes and stuffy nose different from the rest of suffering humanity that may be experiencing these conditions... Wishing you health & happiness, Misty http://www..com , " trep12tide " <trep12tide> wrote: > I have been an allergy sufferer for years and I've finally come to a > conclusion that allergists do not care about their patients' needs, > they care more about the money. Guest guest
Dear Dave, Every person is different and every allergen is different. In my opinion, the most elegant way to treat allergies is often the most effective - as well as being quickest and most cost effective. It is possible to take a sample of whatever has been effecting you - and with the assistance of a small electronic machine to make within seconds either a vibrational equivalent of or a homoeopathic remedy for that allergen, in a vial of water or water plus alcohol. You can do this with dust, food, or the pollen floating through the air (catching it on a damp towel). You can explore the work of Sandi Radomski >www.allergyantidotes.com> It is also possible to treat allergies using other Energy Psychology techniques such as Emotional Freedom Techniques <Emofree.com> or Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) as well as approaches like NAET. One of the advantagaes of such approaches is that there are no side effects to the treatment! And the explorations are fascinating! Good luck, Karen K.
