After FTC sanctions, what's next?

The Federal Trade Commission has sanctioned the makers of Coral Calcium and

SeaSilver, but these incorrigible purveyors of snake oil maintain they will be

back in business soon. Meanwhile, many mainstream producers of dietary

supplements along with health food stores betray the public's trust by

continuing to market these bogus products which will inevitably lead to onerous

legislation against dietary supplements in the halls of Congress. Read the story

I think that the FTC is full of it on this, I can not vouch for the

claims, which I never heard any made by coral calcium( at least not

the type that I use), they are just enforcing the fed laws that

make it a felony to undercut the medical/pharma cartels or the petro-

chem. cartels or the federal reserve scam (give us your gold and

silver and we'll give you worthless pieces of paper)feel the love

from big corporate government!!mmmm!mmmmmm! they will just love us

to death!@!!

I don't know whether or not one could claim that the claims made by seasilver or coral calcium could be determined to be bogus or not except as an individual would try it out, use it, and test it for himself. And then it wouldn't be a provable scientific test that you might be looking for. But the big pharmaceutical industry can not make a claim that its scientific proof is valid for each and every individual that would use a "medicine" either. Lots of people get no headache relief from aspirin; or no headache relief from tylenol, or ibuprofen. Lots of people get no depression relief from prozac. Although lots of people experience one of the "side effects" from it----suicide. Or one could look at the Paxil that a licensed "doctor" has prescribed for my mother to relieve her anxiety and see by the information published that the "symptom" to be relieved, anxiety, is actually one of the "side" effects of the drug. LAND SAKES ALIVE, would you like to talk about snake oils.

Truth of the matter is, I think, is that one has to take charge of his own health. And basically cast all of you experts out of that position. In America, today, even the purveyor of herbs, in their standarized extract formulas, and pills, and health food stores, that whole 9 yards is more and more amounting to another "INDUSTRY" more interested in the protection of its own profits than actual healing. What can be said for it though is that it does use parts of herbs and vitamins and some parts of it are well researched and actually do facilitate healing rather than just taking a customer's wealth. I think that ANYTHING that says "I have the cure, but you need to pay x amount of dollars first before I will cure you." is greed at its utmost. And that attitude kind of puts the crimps on having "CAREERS" in the health industry.

People need to become versed on keeping, maintaining their own health at a high level, even teeth. One doesn't even need a dentist to keep one's teeth healthy. Only if you have had accidents, or you didn't eat correctly. The thing to recognize about all experts is that they are in this partly for themselves. Their intent is to make money on what you perceive your need to be. Their intent is to have you pay them. That is the nature of industry. It is not the nature of sharing with one and other. Unfortunately, the alternative health, or wholistic health, has been seduced by the same attitudes present in the big bio-chem industry.
