Guest guest
Lisa, You are so right - diet is a big part, in fact I would almost go so far as to say diet is the only part. But I put the blame on most parents in that they want a quick fix for their kids - give them a pill and make them be quiet and conform. Parents don't want to have to worry about what to NOT give their kids to eat. It really is quite simple. Give them good nutrition, make them go outside to play, turn off the TV, turn off the computer, give them books to read, be there for them. ADHD is just a fairly new " disease " the pharmaceutical company came up with to get kids addicted to drugs. ADHD does not mean that you have a deficiency of Ritalin. Children may have a learning disability or just learn differently, but ADHD shouldn't be portrayed like the teachers/doctors make it out to be. It is just so sad what they try to make you believe when it comes to ADHD. I just read a story about a new homeschool mom whose daughter was put on meds for 3 yrs basically to appease the school. Turned out she was borderline mentally impaired and not ADHD. Also, sleeping maybe one issue, but I bet diet is a large part of the problem too. I just wish people were more informed by the right people.... Lisa
Guest guest
Hi Carol... Thank you for your post... Nutrition plays a huge role, it is the fuel that the human " car " uses in order to function optimally... Poor fuel, poor performance... But is it possible to have great, high quality fuel, and all that you need, but still have a problem with the carborator?- the organizing principles and processes that utilize that fuel? Sometimes it is the carborator that needs fine tuning for that optimal functioning- that is the role of homeopathy. I completely agree with you that proper sleep, play time, exercise, healthy happy loving relationships with the parents all play key roles in how children behave... Be Well, Misty L.
