Guest guest
Yes, but the other 8 parts are present in your intestine in the foods you eat. Vit. C's power is undeniable. But to make any supplement work effectively, you must take it with food. If you take it with food, the food will supply all the elements missing in the supplement; allowing the special powers of that supplement to have their effect. Linus Pauling has amply demonstrated that Vit. C (plain ascorbic acid) had enormously powerful and positive effects on the human body. But I'm sure, that in nearly all cases, this C was administered to people that were eating a basically good diet. There is no such thing as " fake " vitamin C; which is equivalent to calling the carburetor in a car, fake. A carburetor is a " part " of an engine. When all the other parts are present, the carburetor has a profoundly important role to play in moving your automobile. The same is true of Vitamins. You must take them with food, which allows them to become effective. Guest guest
But so many people have such an inadequate diet - they probably don't have the other 8 parts from the food they are eating. In which case, when you take ascorbic acid, your body will take minerals, enzymes and proteins from inside your bones and your tissues and your organs, to process the ascorbic acid. You are creating a chemical imbalance that your body is trying to balance. Carol John Polifronio [counterpnt] Yes, but the other 8 parts are present in your intestine in the foods you eat. Guest guest
Natural Vitamin C is anything that you can get from food - bell pepper, orange, dark greens, strawberries, broccoli. There's actually a lot of foods with Vit. C, some more than others. Any vitamin pill is made from isolated or synthetic ingredients that your body doesn't know what to do with, because you were " designed " to run on nutrients from whole foods, not mega-doses of various laboratory concocted stuff. Is Ester C with bioflavnoids ok? There is so much confusing information out there.
