it's difficult to find shampoos even at our local health food store

(mom & pop type) that don't have PEG-something or SLS. Especially bubble

bath. I have a hard time with reacting to shampoos/conditioners, even the

chemical free, handcrafted ones, so I think DH and I are the only ones

getting the nasties. We use natural, usually homemade cleansers, I really

enjoy the sense of safety they give me with my kids. Plus they can help

with the work!

About 60% of what you put on the skin is absorbed into the body. Many body

care products also have carrier agents like Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) to get

the so called beneficial ingredients of the lotion into the body faster.
