Guest guest
I would be interested to hear what others have to say on this topic. I am what is described below as pre-hypertensive. I'm an athlete and am in tip-top shape. However, my doctor still has me on a low dose thiazide diuretic. My blood pressure with the medication is usually 120 ish over 75-85, depending on what time of day I take it, how soon I have eaten before, etc. I'm thinking of dropping the medication entirely, as I have successfully dropped two other prescription meds I was on, an antidepressant and a reflux drug with no ill or adverse affects. I have adopted a higher fat regimen of eating and have been using coconut oil daily for a month or so. One more pill to kick and I'm drug free! Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
