Natural remedies to cure headaches

 

& bull; The flowers of henna have been found valuable in curing headaches

caused by hot sun. The flowers should be rubbed in vinegar and applied

over the forehead. This remedy will soon provide relief.

 

& bull; Take clove, cinnamon and almond in equal quantities (around 1

teaspoon each) and grind together with a little water to make a paste.

Apply paste on the forehead.

 

& bull; For stress related headache press on the right side top corner of

the forehead on the hairline. Keep it lightly pressed for two minutes.

It & rsquo;s advisable not to press very hard.

 

& bull; The juice of three or four slices of lemon should be squeezed in

a cup of tea and taken by the patient for treating a headache due to a

hangover.

 

& bull; Mix 1 tablespoon of milk and half teaspoon of ginger powder and

put one or two drops in each nostril twice a day.

 

& bull; Apples are valuable in curing all types of headaches. After

removing the upper rind and the inner hard portion of a ripe apple, it

should be taken with a little salt every morning on an empty stomach in

such cases. This should be continued for about a week.

 

& bull; Oil massage on the scalp also relieves tension and headache.

Sesame oil, almond oil, mustard oil can be used for massage.

 

& bull; Nutritional supplements that may help include Magnesium - 500 mg

per day (reduces frequency of migraines), Vitamin B2 (decrease frequency

and severity of migraines), and/or 5HTP (reduces frequency and severity

of migraines).

 

& bull; Herbal supplements that may help include Feverfew (reduces in the

severity, duration, and frequency) and Gingko Biloba.

 

Often lifestyle changes that include changes one's diet and learning

techniques to relax work very effectively in relieving headaches.
