Simple Elixir Called a 'Miracle Liquid'

It's a kitchen degreaser. It's a window cleaner. It kills athlete's

foot. Oh, and you can drink it. Sounds like the old " Saturday Night

Live " gag for " Shimmer " , the fake floor polish plugged by Gilda Radner.

But the elixir is real. It has been approved by U.S. regulators...

Okay -- so you have salt, which is NaCl. It disassociates pretty

easily into Na+ an Cl- ions. Then, when you charge the water, you

get some ions there -- H+ and OH-. Then, they combine to form NaOH

and HCL. So what you really have are mixtures that contain lye

(alkaline) and hydrochloric acid (acidic) at the two different poles

of the " battery " . So you siphon off this stuff, and you end up with

fairly weak mixtures of lye-water and hydrochloric acid-water. Both

are pretty good cleaners, I guess, depending on what you are trying

to clean.

Whoop de doo.

I bet those reporters are also trying to sell those machines on the

side.

You can say that again Jim.

I mean what's the big deal, i use salt, bicarb soda and vinegar to clean my bathroom and it cost me next tto nothing, no machines no electicity.

Really i'm surprised when people start talking about miracles, with the drop of a hat.

No soaking but spread around in the bathtub, or sink for 5 minutes or so ( and you are welcome ( Melly ) also for hard spots i use some dish washing liquid mixed with the salt and the rest for better results.

P.S. for smelling good i add in the bottle 20 drops eucalyptus oil, lavender or any other essential oil i have.

Hugs Mary
