He makes his own little capsules with cayenne pepper in them. He has one of those machines where you can put into a capsule. Thought this was worth mentioning for anyone who was looking to cut costs but still have a quality product - you could probably make your own capsules and I'm sure you could find one of those machines via the internet. Don't know what you would call the machine though. Rebecca. > >

Guest guest
I can't quite remember how much he was taking......but I do remember that it's one of those things that you start out SLOWLY with and you build up to an amount that is tolerable.....I know he wasn't taking anything more than a couple of teaspoons a day...... I tried it twice, 3 pills each time, and got a horrible burning in my tummy. Anyone else had that happen? Would a lower dose still work? -- Mindy ----------------------- " ...that they may be one... Guest guest
Mindy, That's one reason why I think its much better to take the cayenne as a tea. Start out with 1/4 teaspoon in 8 oz of distilled and gradually increase to at least one teaspoonful. You will soon become accustomed to taking it and will actually look forward to the lift it will give you. If you don't like to take it with water, you can mix it with tomato juice and it goes down easy. Cayenne will not burn a hole in your stomach and it will not burn out brain cells, quiet the opposite, it will cure ulcers and increase blood supply to the brain. Caution: Don't get carried away and over do it, I think one tablespoon at a time is a maximum dose. Here is a true story: I told a friend who was scheduled for surgery to remove polyps from the colon about the cayenne and he took three heaping tablespoons at one time, yes he had some burning but the upside was that when he went in for surgery they did another exam and told him that surgery was not necessary. Cayenne could be your ace in the hole, no pun intended. Guest guest
Mindy, Cayenne will burn in your tummy just like it does to your tongue. You can space out the capsules rather than taking all at one time and it won't burn as bad or as long. There is a product that combines the cayenne with a natural cellulose (can't remember the name) to stop the burn, and it really works. I take cayenne with myrrh for my stomach and the myrrh helps relieve the burn. Also taking the capsule right after you eat is helpful. A friend told me many years ago about taking cayenne, myrrh, and goldenseal to heal ulcers, and it really works. Also, the number of capsules you take depends on the heat index. 3 capsules a day is usually a good dose. Hope this helps. A few drops in water, tea, or water and lemon juice tastes good to me. Actually, I use lemon regularly as if I am addicted to it. After a while, everything tastes lousy unless there is a squeeze of lemon in it. I even try to get some of the lemon oil out of the peeling. By squeezing very hard, I can see the oil floating on the liquid. Possibly my efforts are in vain, but...... likely many of our efforts cannot be measured as the example you gave. I am not sure that the liquid is as good as the powder. Wayne
