Guest guest
Craig: Welcome aboard and thanks for your thought full post! I experience fibromyalgia and all its attendant pangs, fogs, and irritabilities, but have found great relief with soy protein mixed into a juice smoothie every day. I sleep better, have fewer muscular aches, and my tummy behaves. I usually use some chopped ice, a cup of unsweetened juice of some kind and a half of a banana whizzed in the blender with the soy protein powder. I've also used B vitamins and Ginkgo in it. I have a friend who adds blue green algae. It goes to work much quicker than tablets in drink form. I originally started using the amino acids because my husband Mani was developing a medical hypnosis script for me about fibromyalgia, and in doing his background research found a book that noted very similar results to what you have mentioned with MS. After all, they are both muscular disorders, although one is considered rheumatic and the other neuromuscular, so perhaps they are more similar than we think in some ways. Thanks again, Craig. The book sounds very interesting. Craig Weavers wrote: > Hi, I'm new to the group and I don't know if this will be of assistance at > all. I have fibromyalgia too, and I also find that a protein shake with spirulina significantly improves how I feel every day. I haven't tried amino acid therapy, but I will look into it. I have found that the other two things which make a big difference are: 5-HTP (taken at bedtime) magnesium malate (taken three times a day) This combination has done wonders for dealing with the mental fog and depression that I used to experience on a daily basis. Guest guest
Does anyone know a good website where I can read up on the different amino acids? I was trying to do some research on Taurine and am not finding much. Thanks, Ken
