Raven, I don't know anything about MS or what the symptoms are or any of

that, but I do recognise a sister in distress. All I can do is send you

energy and pray. Sometimes it is a comfort to know you are not alone.

Blessings.....Song

> what is the downside of taking too much Omega-3s? I have a friend who has

dropped all his other fats and oils very low and is taking 8 capsules of

fish oil, plus some flaxseed oil daily. He has been experiencing some

chest

pain lately. Any thoughts?>

Eight LARGE capsules of fish Oil is about two teaspoons, HOW much Flaxseed

Oil is he taking?

Did you know that Flaxseed Oil contains Omega 6 also?

How does he avoid all other fats and oils? How is that possible? What on

earth is he eating?

Interested, Lorenzo

Hi Charles,

I am from San Antonio, grew up there and lived there until 1986. I

had constant allergy problems, nose either stuffed up or running, and

this bothered me almost year round. I was especially bothered by

Mountain Cedar, which pollenates before Christmas up in the Hill Country

and blows down to San Antonio. I am a professionsal singer, and this

used to drive me crazy with lost of singing engagements and I couldn't

breathe!! Surprisingly, my allergies are better in New Jersey, one of

the most air polluted states. I live in central Jersey, which is better

that North Jersey. Does your nose ever seem to be better or is it all

the time. Have you seen an allergist there?

Hi Diane:

Before I built my green house using the treated lumber, I didn't have any

nose problems. I can look back now and I know what has caused my nose

problem. I didn't wear a mask when I cut the treated lumber. At times, I

had sawdust all over my arms and shirt. I can only imagine how much I

inhaled. I didn't know the treated lumber was so dangerous. I don't know

all the chemicals the lumber has, but I do know it contains arsenic.

It was eleven months ago (October) when I finished building the green house.

My nose feels like its partially " stopped up. " It is neither runny nor

congested. As a matter of fact, the ear, nose, throat (ENT) M.D. I went to

(twice) said that my sinuses were clear and looked good.

Many people in this area have allergy problems as you've described, but

normally I didn't experience those problems before last October. I guess I

can now breathe about 30/40% of what I use to through my nose. As I said in

one of my earlier emails, if I take an " over the counter " spray, it will

open my nose up 100%, but it only last twelve hours. The ENT M.D. told me

not to use these sprays as they cause more problems than they help. The ENT

gave me a cortisone (I guess that's how you spell it) shot, but the shot

didn't help.

Puneet (on this forum) suggested I breathe steam for about 5-10 minutes

twice a day. That did seem to help. My nose was open for about 30 minutes.

I've only tried it once, so I am going to try it today and the rest of the

week.

Thanks for your email and concern.

Regards,

Charles
