Can you read PDF files on your computer? Go to http://www.healthprivacy.org

and click on " state laws " and then click on the state you're in for the

summary (or download the gigantic 289 page paper they have there...!)

 

Also, a little tidbit -- 23 out of 50 states allow patients access to their

own records. Which means that a majority don't.

Thanks much Mindy. I was suprised to discover that my state

(Louisiana) does guarantee my right to my paperwork, even though LA is

backwards in so many other areas.
