Guest guest
OK, I have found out a little more detail about my cousin's blood count. He is not low in any particular type of white blood cell; it is just an overall low. He was at 2.8, has now gone up to 3.3, average range is about 4.5 to 10. His uric acid and something that begins with R are both fine, and if they were elevated in may indicate cancer, so that is a good sign. Meanwhile, his IgG doesn't show anything viral, so they are thinking autoimmune, perhaps lupus, and also TB. His only symptoms are lethargy and swollen lymph nodes in the neck. So now I ask, any thoughts? My feelings are that he would want to supplement differently if autoimmune as compared to viral, i.e. no echinacea for instance. So I guess I'm looking for ideas about how to boost overall white blood cell count. Essiac tea comes to mind as a good possibility, as does pau d' arco. Any suggestions or resources will be most appreciated. And Andy, I have the Murray book you were speaking of, as well as Prescription for Nutritional Healing and a few others, so I'll be checking. It just helps to hear personal experiences as well. Thanks, Debbie deb http://www.bodyhealthcenter.com
Guest guest
Prescription for nutritional healing is more accurately referred to as prescription for nutritional killing. Stick to Murray and others who actually know something about the agents and have prescribed them to real human beings and observed the effects. Have they done standard tests and ruled out things like mononucleosis and hepatitis? WHat you are saying really doesn't make sense - more understanding (possibly gained by fishing in his veins with a needle to do more tests) is needed. It is certainly unusual for his WBC to be low but no particular kind to be low. I suggest a lot of vitamin A to start. How old is he? That affects what else he may want to use.
