Hi Debbie,

So, high quality herb caps can be good? Is Solary a good brand for herbs? I

have the sniffles. Any herb you would recommend? I haven't had the sniffles in

so long I feel odd about it.

I think as long as you get a standardized form it will be fine. The only reason

tinctures are recommended is that they absorb more directly and more quickly

into your bloodstream, especially if you hold it under your tongue and let it

absorb through your salivary glands. It's funny about herbs, b/c you can get a

really low quality tincture that will not do for your body what a high quality

capsule would.

Sorry I haven't gotten back right away. I just noticed today some

posts in reply to posts I never got, so I'm at checking the

million I never received for some strange reason.

 

Yes, I do believe high quality caps can be good, especially if they

are standardized. I have actually had better results with some caps

than I have with tinctures.

If you are congested, I love fenugreek-thyme combination from

Nature's Herbs. I can't speak for the quality of that company (or

Solaray) b/c I haven't researched the lab testing situations, etc.,

but I do get results from that combo for a stuffy nose or congested

head.

 

As far as having a viral infection, I like elderberry over

echinacea. It seems to work better for me. If it is something

fierce that needs to be zapped, a low dose of goldenseal over a few

days usually does the trick. I don't get sick very often either, so

it is rare for me to have the right herb from the best company in the

house when I need it!

privately and I'll give you some info. They have a limited amount of

singles, but I have gotten the best results from them. Also, they

have the most amazing formulas. There is a sinus one that cleared my

allergic dad up right away, when nothing else has worked for months.

Now if only I can convince him to do a liver cleanse . . .
