Guest guest
Are the various Aloe plants safe to eat (the inside slime that is)? I found a variety of Aloe sold at Mexican food stores called " Sabila " and was wondering if it would be safe to just open one of these massive leafs (24 " x 3 " tapering to a point) and scrape out the slimey mixture and eat it up? I have a problem with Acid Reflux and was told that Aloe Juice is good for this so I was hoping to be able to go with the juice directly from the plant rather than a store bought concoction that I am unsure about. then again maybe those are safe and what I am thinking about doing is not. What do you all think? thanks, joseph in NC
