Guest guest
Wayne, Your list of things to do makes me seem to have the metabolism of a stone. Since you plant and raise produce you surely know : Will a bird or animal of any kind eat beans? Beans other than green (string) beans that is. Most beans have an antidigestive property to protect them so I wonder. Guest guest
Evening Ron, >Wayne, Your list of things to do makes me seem to have the metabolism of >a stone. I did not say I would accomplish all that, but one has to have a goal, does he not? >Since you plant and raise produce you surely know : Will a bird or >animal of any kind eat beans? Thinking back over the years, I don't recall a single predator problem with beans and peas. Other than humans of course. My neighbor has a pea patch ripped off by thieves. I have about 400 blueberry bushes. The birds give them a working over. And.... the coyotes love watermelons. One year, out of 150 watermelons, the coyotes got about 125 and I got about 10. I think that was the last year I grew watermelons. Many critters will eat corn. The coons usually hit the field to harvest the crop the same day I do. Sometimes they are a day early. Wild animals are always interesting. They do everything by instinct, not by logic or reasoning. Wayne
Guest guest
Thanks Wayne, I never did think that beans were fit for humans and if animals won't eat them....... Pottenger's cats were malnourished not by the wrong foods but simply by feeding them cooked meat instead of raw.
