They come in 250's or 500's. Give him a half of a 250 on his food twice a day. Cats really like the taste and smell of SEB. It really soothes the inerds of an animal or human. I have given this to little kittens if they get an upset stomach, diarrhea, etc. Works like a charm. : ) Terri
Guest guest
My cat Cairo has all the symptoms of distemper because he sneezes all over the place constantly, has a runny nose, temp and is just sick all of a sudden. So I am going to get the anti-viral/anti-bacterial oil as was suggested but he also seems to have what I am guessing is a bladder infection because he is suddenly urinating in the house and he is 8 years old and has never done this before...he finds me in the kitchen and will pee right in front of me. I know he isn't suddenly upset about something so it must be a bladder infection. As soon as I let him out, he runs for the grass and pees several times in just a few minutes time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do for this? I can't afford to take him to the vet...the last time it cost me $260 because he was swallowing rocks from eating birds...he has been kept inside since he did that so I know its not that again. That was over 2 years ago. Thanks for any suggestions..I really love this cat. Arizona > Tracy, > Get some slippery elm bark capsules at the HFS. Guest guest
Thanks I search that and get him on that it right away. I had him on regular dry cat food because he seemed to like it so much. My cats in the past all liked canned food but many got teeth problems because of the soft food so I thought I was doing a good thing by having him on dry food. I'll do whatever it takes though to get him well and keep him healthy. Arizona > My cat Bob had the same symptoms. One vet said it was renal stones. > Another said it was a bladder infection. Guest guest
I joined the holistic cat list and already got 4 or 5 posts suggesting that I take him to the vet. I certainly would have done that if I could afford it but unfortunately I do not have the means this month. When I say I don't have the means, I truly mean it ...its not as though I would deprive my darling cat medical attention if I could scrape up the money somewhere. Now I'm terrified he may get worse and I'll have to sit by and watch it happen. Please pray for him if you don't feel its ridiculous to ask for cat prayers. Guest guest
One of my cats has teeth problems also, do you ever try to clean their teeth? Use anything else to help them? Vitamins? Hi Arizona, how about if you rang the vet and explained how you are financially, then tell him/her all your kitty's symptoms. Surely they would be sympathetic enough to prescribe something for you to pick up. >>>>>Please pray for him if you don't feel its ridiculous to ask for cat prayers. It's not ridiculous, many prayers and purrrrrrrs coming your way. Regards, Dorothy. ps what is Him's name ??
Guest guest
Thank you Dorothy, His name is Cairo, like the city in Egypt. He's an adorable gray cat who came to us one day 8 years ago when he was just 3 weeks old. Our neighbors moved out and took their mother cat and her kittens and accidently left one behind. It came meowing up to us in our yard and has been our special kitty ever since. All our animals have been rescued from circumstances like that. I just figure God picked us out some great animals and then found a way to send them to us. Cairo has turned several neighborhood cat haters into cat lovers or at least Cairo lovers. He slowly walks up to anyone and then puts his front paws around their neck and will pull them close then gives them kisses by rubbing his nose on theirs. Its hard to resist. Thanks for the prayers, Cairo and I appreciate it very much. Can I ask though, do you not have a 'Blue Cross or ASPCA where you can take your cat and have it treated for free? We have them all over the UK and you pay only what you can/if you can afford it. It would be worth it to find out what is wrong rather to try and naturally treat an unknown dis-ease.
