I was given this great idea by an ND student at Bastyr: for 6 days eat healthy,

eliminate the stuff you are cutting out and eat really well. On the 7th day eat

anything you want. By the end of the day you will not feel so good, but will

have satisfied your cravings. After doing this a few weeks, you will see how

much better you feel without all the cruddy foods and gradually will not desire

the junk so much...

Sounds like you're off to a great start. Years ago I also quit all

refined sugar and white flour and any other processed foods. I just quit

cold turkey and had no problem with my will power. I don't know exactly when

I started back into the unhealthy eating but I did and everytime I tried to

just quit everything totally since, I am unsuccessful. So now instead of

totally giving the things I like up, I limit them to only on the weekeends or

once every 3 days. This way I find I can stick to my healthy diet and not

binge when I sneak a snack.

If you find that you start to have trouble, you may want to try this

but I am rooting for you that you can stick it out.
