I didn't bother all of you cause the list was in it's beginning stage, but I've done my work on getting this list started, bringing all of you together in one place, now you have to do the work and make this list move!!!! If you havn't already intoduced yourself, please feel free to do so. If you have any suggestions on making this list grow, work or whatever please send them to me. Thanks everyone for joining and I can't wait to learn from everyone. Tracy List Manager
Guest guest
Hey All! I will admit I have been sitting on the back row taking all this in...and thoroughly enjoying it all. My intro...I am a mixture of all that interest me, and aromatherapy happens to be one of several interest. I have not taken any courses...just independent research for myself and family. I love new knowledge and information on herbs, aroma's, chinese medicine, acupuncture, massage, rock massage, and on and on! I have always had a problem with certain smells (perfumes, candles, incenses that were not of a natural quality)....they would give me a headache, or I couldn't concentrate or get sick at my stomach. So for years I went without wearing perfumes or burning candles.Till I got into aromatherapy. I love it. I can be around the aromas and get some benefit from it also. I had a woman make me a special blend for a fragrance and inner strength. When I wear it I feel confident, strong and whole. The ingredients are Sandalwood (centering), Frankicense (belonging), Myrrh (fortifying), Ylang Ylang (sensual) Rose (loving) Jasmine (self confident) and Cistus (sacred). It is wonderful! try it! I would like to see each of us send in different combinations or aromas that have been beneficial to them and why. Or if we are having an ailment what would we suggest to each other. Like....what aroma or combination would be beneficial to loose weight? I really mean this question. I would like to make some connections/friends with other like minded people. Guest guest
> OK everyone, it's time to stand up and start messaging! This must mean it's my turn! I've been lurking on many of these lists just gleaning all the great info I can; guess it's time to speak up. I first got into the toiletries and soapmaking lists on the internet, which led to learning more about the herbs and essential oils that are often used in those crafts. (Although my interest in herbs and EOs has existed much longer than that). Now I'm finding ways to use what I'm learning, and hoping for new suggestions and blends and uses...and to learn how to safely use them. Does anyone have any EO blends that they are especially fond of and would like to pass along? I recently put together a mixture of distilled water, witchhazel and lavender EO into a 2 oz. spray bottle -- it's wonderful to spray on the pillows at night (especially when my son had the flu a week ago). So now I'd like to experiment with a few other EOs to use this way, and see what else everyone has to offer. I live in Wisconsin, and winter is already knocking on the door here. But that just means the holidays are here sooner than you know it, so I'm anxious to learn as much as I can for making gifts and crafts for shows. (I am also a mural and decorative artist, so this is a real busy time of year!) Looking forward to seeing a few more people speak up on the list too!
