I joined this list because I was under the impression that Tracey's goal was to create a safe place for us to share essential oil and aromatherapy information without posters being attacked for choice of eo or suppliers. I also think she is just trying to protect the integrity of her vision for the list. My impression of the vision of the list is to share information, recipes etc. It is a rough spot to be a list moderator and have to watch who is actually sharing, and who is promoting. There aren't many selfless lists around ) Maybe we should just give it a little time, let the comfort zone be found, and let Tracey get comfortable in her role of moderator. One of the other lists I am on, we have " List Etiquette " and when someone starts to veer of the path..the " guidelines " are gently posted again. Another of the lists I receive I usually just read or delete, because there is so much arguing, promoting and finger pointing, I only get about 10% valid aromatherapy info...maybe that was the motivation for Tracey creating a safe zone With listbots becoming so easy to access, we will see more and more lists pop up. The ones that last will be the ones that people feel good reading. Quick sharing to make this officially oily...a friend of mine had what looked like a wart, but then opening and was leaking..I put melaleuca on it and covered it with a bandage. Then once the leaking stopped, I started to apply lavender. This was all during work hours. Today she went to the doctor, who was surprised at how quickly the process had happened and how nicely it was healing (she had made the appointment Monday..then I went to work -- she told him it was the essential oils. Loved that part! Namaste~ Candyce
Guest guest
I'm afraid I have to agree. My own personal experience indicates that once you start into one form of natural medicine, you ultimately end up branching into others. The overlap is unavoidable. This group may be primarily oriented toward aromatherapy, but other issues are going to work their way in. An outright ban would be counterproductive to the mission of the list. Guest guest
My dog has cancer; Could anyone reccomend specific essential oils and how/where to apply ? Thankyou, Craig
Guest guest
My experience has show me also that everything is inter-connected, inter-related. THere is a corresponding issue/item to what ever ... Each planet has a Number, plant, stone, tone, color and so on.. I am a Reiki Master/practictor and when working with a client I use an intergraded session of: Reiki, music-sound-tones, aromotherapy, color, astrology, numberology, talking, listening and anything else that is helpful to that client. I know from other list that subject matter is hard to limit to one, It is sometimes difficult to eleminate the discussion of personality and Fear. Maybe we can just try really hard to keep this list on an upbeat, positive, and productive conversation of sharing info that is helpful to all on their path. If the list decides to keep subject strictly to aromatherapy, I will personally try to do that and maybe respond on an individual basic if i have anything to add that is not in referance to aromatherapy. Either way, I personally wish to stay with this list, as I have already recieved some very useful aromatherapy tips and have saved them for future referrance. I apprecirate all that have shared with me on this list. Life is suppose to be roses and butterflies, and we sometimes forget this.... At 05:46 PM 10/06/1999 -0700, you wrote: > " Jason A. We investigated several alternative therapies, and I am a loyal user of essential oils. After much research, and an article that was written by a holistic veternarian that really swayed me, we went ahead with the chemotherapy. While Ruford underwent chemo, I aggresively applied " high immunity oils " to the pads of his paws...diluted. Oregano, hyssop and frankinscense were what I used mostly. They don't smell the best though He did very well through the chemo, and has not had a re-occurance. He did not suffer many of the colds and viral effects I have heard about. Just a note..his cancer became appartant exactly 10 days after his vaccines were given to him..in the exact same spot. Truly cause to wonder what other alternatives we can come up with. Best to you Craig..and your dog A prayer has been offered up. Namaste~ Candyce
