Guest guest
Symmetrically located patches just below my elbows and on the backs of my thumbs have developed dry, flaking, itchy, scaly skin. It's starting to get acute now. I think I know what's causing it -- Hepatitis C. (That was why I wrote earlier asking about aromatherapy for liver disease -- I made up a massage oil using rosemary & rose in almond oil carrier and my wife massages it onto my liver area the best she is able, although one has to wonder about how well it can really penetrate the body, through the rib cage & abdominal wall, down deep to where the liver is). This is so far the only hepatitis symptom that has manifested, otherwise I feel great. I had read that sandalwood oil is good for some skin conditions, so I tried rubbing in plenty of it. It did seem to make my skin appear more human, less reptilian, for a short while, but of course I knew it would not affect the underlying cause of the eczema. The itching and everything came back even worse afterward -- perhaps any old oil would have achieved as much. Anybody know anything that would at least alleviate the skin problem?
