List Moderator: Re-posting list rule

Hello list Friends,

 

I have had a terrible week but anyways...

I am just going to re-post the list rules because there have been some

complaints. Please read them again.

I have to admit that one of the complaints is mine, #5. I spend a lot of time

editing out copies of old posts so that all of you don't have to go through them

again.

POSTING GUIDELINES

These guidelines have been established to make it easy for

everyone to understand what postings are welcome, as well as to help people

avoid

inconveniencing other rs on the list.

1- When signing your message, try

to include your state/province/city/country you live in.

2-When giving advice,

please try and tell people your background.

3-ALL Complaints are to go directly

to the list manager and NOT the list.

4- Please avoid sending personal posts to

the list.

 

***5- Please include a reference to the email you are answering on the

list, so that everyone on the list may easily understand what it is that you are

talking about. You may do this by cutting and pasting, or you may paraphrase the

original posting. PLEASE DON'T POST THE FULL MESSAGE THAT YOU HAVE REPLIED OVER

AGAIN. ERASE IT OR DO THE ABOVE.

 

6- Please be considerate of all others on the list, including

those you don't hear from.

7 - Please read postings carefully before you jump down

someone's throat. Try to curb knee-jerk reactions. If you feel you must jump

down someone's throat and you cannot stop yourself, please do it via personal

email.

8- Please curb the temptation to post " off-topic but funny " ,

" off-topic but important " , " off-topic but I don't care if you have

a life and would rather do something else besides read mindless email " ,

" if you don't send this to your ten worst enemies right away you will get

ten more enemies by 3am " etc. type postings.

9 - Please do not post

advertising. Period. There is a special " links " section on the

community page for this.

10 - Please do seriously consider consulting me before

you seriously consider posting anything that you think might be borderline.
