Guest guest
< I don't know did anybody try coconut oil for baking and cooking. I am using for more than a year now, for my family cooking ( I don't eat cocked food) and they love it. And my husband lost some pounds even he did not change other things in his life style. I tried as a bread spread with Cayenne pepper and black pepper it is great. Just a thought for those that didn't try. And I don't have any marks on my skin when I fry something and get in touch with hot oil. No blisters. Regards Jasmina> I don’t know about cooking but some of the best stuff I ever had was coconut oil mixed with roasted almond butter and honey as a dip for fruit. Guest guest
Frank- I will not be shy as it is not in my nature to do so. I have posted replies to some of your previous messages and I stand by what I say and I appreciate your points of view, it is refreshing for someone to be open and honest. I do believe that everyone has a right to their own beliefs and their own form of religion. I think two of the worst topics anyone can discuss are religion and politics. NO ONE has the same view even if they have the same political party or go to the same church, it is because none of us were raised the same, have the same background, or have experienced the same things. That is what makes us individuals. America was built by those who wanted to be individuals, seperate from a whole. The thing is that most people also don't want to be alone. So what starts out as a few who want to be different yet have similiar beliefs, turns into making many have those same values, beliefs etc... I would challenge everyone to challenge themselves, to think outside of the box and to be original. Learn from your own life, your own experiences and follow your own path. That is the only true freedom. Do we need laws, yes, but laws should be made as boundries, not as a form of control. What happened to the days where one could leave their doors unlocked at night, your car running while you go into a store. Look at today's youth, who's fault is it that we have so many juvenile delinquencies- ALL OF US- as a society. We have allowed this to happen to us by the systems we have placed into affect, and WE are the only ones that can change it now. America the land of the free, but who is free? None of us, not when laws are being made to protect us from ourselves, when this happens we are loosing the freedom of choice. Not even the rich are free, they may SEEM to have things easier but that is easy for those of us who are poor to say. Everything in life comes with a consequence and I see America as being a land where serfdom is eveident in everything we do. A story if you will allow: My boyfriend, (we are both not rich people, lower middle class to be exact), he was at a convience store where there was a gentleman of a different race and color than himself asking him for money. The gentleman had a run down car, and was dressed poorly. He told my boyfriend that he needed money for gas to get back home. My boyfriend dug into his pocket without a second thought and gave him $8.00. When he told me this and pointed the man out I asked him why, I told him he had just been scammed. He answered what if it is not, if it is not, I just made that man's day. He will be able to get home. I told him that I would not have done it and that he had more faith in mankind than me. He told me that if we don't have faith in each other and the possibility of goodness in the world what do we have. A week later my boyfriend called me and told me he saw the same man with the same car at the mall, and guess what he was doing. Yes, he was using the same story on a different side of town at a mall instead of a gas station. He agian asked my boyfriend for money. Although my boyfriend recognized him he did not recognize my boyfriend. I was tempted to tell him 'I told you so' but I didn't. I realized that he still has what many of us don't- faith in others, even in strangers. It is a precious gift and I don't want that to change in him. What we need as a whole is a faith in ourselves. That way we could stand up and do the right thing, speak up when we are wronged and change the mistakes we have made- such as putting someone in office because of their affiliation and not what they stand for. We all need to have faith in our own intelligence and ability to make the right decisions when choosing those who would represent us. If you make a mistake admit it and do something to change it, don't continue to stand by that which you know is wrong. Stand up America and BE FREE! Judge an individual for who they are, not who they are affiliated with, not what stereotypical category they fit into. Race, color, religion, politics, education, money, clothing, and more does not make the person, PERSONALITY makes the person, everything else is just a contributing factor of a whole. FREE yourself of your prejudices and then you will be able to see the truth, until then everything is colored by preconcieved notions, that may or may not even be your notions. Michelle califpacific <califpacific wrote: Dear Group, I am not trying to be funny or play around. I am not trying to " trap " anyone. I have received many, many off topic messages both to the group and to me personally. A lot of them dealt with religion, politics, what should be posted and what should not be posted, etc. I have had almost everyone mad at me at one time or another. That is not important though. So, these ideas of censorship and values that people bring and post are just a small glimpse into our society as a whole. When the subject came up concerning politics and restricting access to this film, one thing led to another and maybe we should drop the " rules " we have here for the moment and openly discuss these things. I would really like to know what people think about one's right to say and do things and where it infringes on others and where do we draw the lines, etc. It may even encompass what people do or do not have the right to believe something and what limits can a society put upon them. With 1800 members and the thousands of messages I have received, I would think that there are many on this board who would welcome a chance to express all those things that they felt that they couldn't before. So, pretty much the floor is open on all of these things. Please try and describe it if you can without it just being a cliche or parroting some response. Now is not the time to be shy about saying something. We all should have the courage of our convictions or what good are they. Guest guest
Look at this. http://www.visionworksusa.com/ Hello all, I recently asked the group about macular degeneration, and I had a response about an acupuncturist in Boston that wrote a book. Guest guest
Chris, Not sure if you have had a response to this yet or not as I have just moved and am now checking my 500+ emails. Drs Marc Grossman and Glen Swartwout have written several books on eye care. Believe Dr Grossman is in the New York area vs Boston, but if these are not the books you are referring to, you could write and ask him if he knows of the doctor in Boston. I think his website is visionworksusa.com. kathleen inchina777 <inchina777 wrote: Hello all, I recently asked the group about macular degeneration, and I had a response about an acupuncturist in Boston that wrote a book. Guest guest
Ginkgo Software's Client Tracker 3.0 is the best practice management software I found after looking at all the big names and playing around with their demos. You can download a free trial version at their webpage. http://www.ginkgosoftware.com/ It has some limitations too, but all in all it is very elegant and straight forward. One thing I did not like about several of the other software packages was how much information they had regarding point prescriptions and diagnosis. I spent 3 years in school and $60K to learn that stuff and I found their recommendations annoying and not very useful. I just wanted software to manage patient information, print invoices, print insurance forms, track inventory, and basically make it easier to manage the business end of my acupuncture practice. Client Tracker is the best one I found for that. They are supposed to be coming out with a new and greatly updated version soon that should eliminate a number of the limitations (like not having multiple rooms for scheduling, and more sophisticated inventory control). I'm looking forward to my free upgrade once it is released. Good luck! Chris Lory Lee M.S.O.M, L.Ac., NADA [lory] Friday, October 29, 2004 2:23 PM acupuncture acupuncture (unknown) I purchased Trigram Software AcuBase Pro Software and have been using it daily for approx 2 months. I find the software cumbersome to use and inconsistent. One of the most annoying inconsistencies with AcuBase Pro is cut and paste, or lack thereof. Select the text, copy and move to another AcuBase Pro screen and paste. One may get the actual text or some software code or the paste is disabled. There are other annoying " features " that I won't go into. I have contacted support on other issues with AcuBase Pro and was given fixes, which did not fix the problems I am having. That being said, does anyone have any recommendations for patient record keeping software, with or without medical billing capabilities? Colorado Judge Arrested By Citizen Militia Denver Post by Rita Goodstory. staff writer December 27, 2004 Denver CO - Once again, four members of the Americans for Justice Militia entered a judge's office to place a sitting judge under arrest. At 9:45 this morning the small, unarmed group arrived at the 2nd District Court (1437 Bannock Street), flashed their AJM credentials, and instructed the clerk to escort them to Judge Wilson's office.Judge Wilson was read the charges and was peacefully arrested by Denver AJM members Tom Cooley, William Adamson, Jeffrey Wilson (no relation), and Cynthia Washington. The four calmly walked the arrested judge without handcuffs to the neighboring police station for booking and incarceration, pending a bail hearing. Police Captain Hermano Gutierrez refused to comment, but William Anderson, a senior AJM member, read the following statement for the media: "Judges in Denver and throughout Colorado were first put on notice by Rick Stanley in 2002. Every judge has taken an oath to uphold and defend the constitutions of the United States and the State of Colorado, and the citizens of Colorado have the right and the duty to enforce that oath. Judges who show blatant disregard for the law are held accountable to the law, if not by our hired servants in government then by the citizens themselves. Regretably, this is our nineteenth arrest.
