Welcome to Jackie.

Bernadette, I did see your posting about Kunzea ambigua but I can't find any

reference to it, so didn't reply. Is there any other name on the bottle, or an

address you could write to? A somewhat ambiguous oil ...

Hi Bernadette,

I know the oil you are talking about. When I first came across Kunzea oil I

could find no one on the net who could help me with info. Just lately I have

managed to purchase some from a souvenir shop about 5 hours drive from where

I live in Tasmania - where abouts in Australia did you buy it?

Anyway it is a brilliant multi-purpose oil - although personally I prefer

the smell of tea tree oil - which it is very similar too. The one I have is

native to Tasmania and is recommended for:

" PAIN RELIEF and REDUCTION OF SWELLING AND IRRITATION caused by:-

Muscle and tendon strain, gout, recurring shingles, insect and spider bite,

head ache especially migraine, undernail infections and leg ulcers.

Diffuses impact bruising (apply asap after injury).

Relieves sinus and aids return of smell and taste senses.

Has been found helpful with certain forms of eczema, dermatitis, rash and

arthritis, and most helpful in the treatment of chilblains.

Eases pain from minor burns.

Prevents progress of cold sores if applied early.

Will remove elastic dressing residue from skin.

Can be used as a bath oil, using 4-5 drops, and in a vaporiser 1-2 drops.

Can be used as an aid to repel insects. "

Hope this has been helpful.

Hi Carolyn - bless you for the information.

I actually got the oil at a mind, body and spirit fayre in Queensland - it

is said to be 100% organic and is grown and distilled in Tasmania. I am so

amazed!
