Dear Gupta ji, We have to bear with such things. These are the fulfilment of the prophecies made in various scriptures all over the world. They will continue till a majority of us are truly horrified and cry out in condemnation. Right now it seems people who feel such practices to be wrong are in a minority. There is a call for more "opening up" of the society so that all "suppression" can be overthrown. The current generation seems ready to achieve the goal. It is better to assume the role of an witness even while protesting against such practices. These things can not go on for ever. We are very near to the "peak" and after that the downslide is certain to follow. Personally I pray for all because I know that many are just floating with the stream unmindful of the consequences. If we hate them then we will not be given the oppurtunity to help them when the time comes. But it is also

our duty to ensure that we reach out to those who are still sitting on the edge and pondering whether to jump in. This is why we should protest and make our views widely known. I wish I was a family man. Then I too could have immersed myself in worldly activities and not suffered the tension of being acutely aware of the future. We have seen how the earth can react through the tsunami, flooding, cyclones that have occurred during the past year. But even then life goes on as if nothing has happened and as if nothing more will happen. Let us all hope nothing happens but let us also be prepared for bad news if it comes. The coming year has two unusual astrological formations in June and December. They denote attacks on civil liberties and on religion. These may be followed by the persecution of the just and outspoken in the hands of powers inflated by egos and material achievements. Let us therefore also be prepared to work

silently if the situation so demands. I doubt if the internet will remain untouched. Already surveys have been conducted to ascertain the role of the net in shaping public opinion. The results have shown that it is the internet that has become the voice of the opposition. It will not be in the interest of the powers that be to allow such freedom.
