Guest guest
Hello, By way of introduction: I'm Nicole, I live in rural Kentucky USA with my husband, 3 daughters, and various dogs, cats, poultry, etc. I'm not one who blindly follows what everyone else is doing, and have been mistreated by the allopathic medical community pretty much my whole life - and luckily, had the wisdom eventually to see the mistreatment and seek a better way. I birthed my daughters at home with a real midwife - except for the first, we ended up in the hospital with her and that really solidified my belief that allopaths are clueless idiots (for the most part). We don't vaccinate, we use homeopathy where appropriate (and when we can afford to), we try to eat well and live cleanly. I have successfully kept my children healthy " in spite of " our avoidance of allopaths - not so much as an ear infection in the lot! and have so far avoided being turned in to Child Protective Services for medical neglect or some stupid thing - although that is a lingering fear of mine. Allopathic malpractice also extends into the veterinary world, and things are much darker there, much more blatant and abusive even than the way we treat our children. Even, and especially, in the realm of what we are told to feed our pets. I had a revelation (thanks to some great online communities spreading the word) about species-appropriate feeding about 2 years ago when I got my first non-rescue puppy - a working farm dog called the English Shepherd - and went looking for the way to raise him up right. Dogs are carnivores, they should ideally eat raw meat, bones, organs, and whole prey animals -- a far cry from the grain-based extruded crap we've been sold all our lives. And I saw that others had also turned to raw feeding, and have a hard time getting certain items, so I started a little business to supply these things. Prey 4 Pets will hopefully grow and I'll be able to put out print materials, educational materials, and information on homeopathy and other natural health info pertaining to dogs and cats. People looking for this information online already have a clue, but what is needed is good, real info laying around on our coffee tables and in veterinary waiting rooms - you never know what will spark an " a-ha " moment for someone whose precious dog or cat is going through a health crisis and getting nowhere with their vet (or even to become aware that their vet has *caused* the crisis!). This realization would of course spill over into their view of human health - or vice versa. One of my goals, too, is to ensure that the food animals I supply are treated justly throughout their lives, fed and housed appropriately for their species, etc., and I turn " waste " materials into excellent carnivore food (I like to call it low karma). Doesn't seem like a long-time vegetarian would be a very likely butcher, but it makes sense to me, although I am viewed as " weird " for it. So, that's me. I've been a fan of Jag's for a while now, and was very happy to receive the invitation to this group! Keep up the excellent work Jag. Guest guest
Thank you Jane! I wasn't referring to the cost of the remedies themselves, however, but to the cost of seeing a professional homeopath for constitutional treatment. It's costing me about $100/month currently, and DH and I have been unemployed for several months now so I've had to postpone some appointments... and now I'm seeing where my eldest daughter (age 5) needs to get treated soon too. And my middle daughter (turning 4 soon) could sure use some EFT and constitutional treatment as well... and my husband needs convincing, but I'd like to send him as well... and then, the rest of the world, LOL Nicole in KY
