Guest guest
Dear List Members >In the area of animal healthcare, Himalaya Drug Company has a 20 percent market share of the Rs. 70 crore herbal veterinary drug market in the country. Its Liv 52 which the leading hepatoprotective metabolic stimulant and production enhancer is the fastest growing among its range of drugs for livestock, pet and poultry. < Do our livestock need metabolic stimulants or production enhancers? If so, why? Does this then mean that this company of yours is encouraging the spread of Ayurveda or reducing Ayurveda to the levels of the best in allopathy? (As I understand from previous posts that this company has Ayurvedic combinations " off the shelf " .) Please tell me which you think. Or is this another branch of the company which is not related to the Ayurvedic products it produces? Or is it a matter of " anything herbal " has to be good? Thanks, Jane
Guest guest
[Himalaya has a separate division for vetenirary medicine. So certainly you are not using anything meant for animals !! I think they also have a Liv 82 which is specifically meant to protect the liver against alchohol, but I am not too sure if it is from the Himalaya group. - Jagannath] I had heard that a Liv52 preparation was highly popular with all those who drink too much or too often. But that they have Liv 52 for animals also has come to me as something new, may be due to my poor general knowledge about Himalay Drug Co. Or is there another Himalaya co that makes ayurvedic medicines for humans? Currently, I am using their Cystone by Himalay Drug Co located in Bangalore. Am I taking something meant for animals, speaking lightly? S. M.
