Guest guest
Friends: Giant corporation and greedy politicians are backing GM seeds. Any kind of ban will be opposed by the greed merchants. The only the and correct way is to follow our Mahatma Gandhiji's path, like he burning of English cloth and clothes, we too need to set fire to GM seeds in every corner of India., Mother nature is the rightful owner of all forms of life including the seeds and not a chemical corporation backed by US government has hijacked nature's gift to humanity. In the US they inject steroids in cows to make them fat and big. The children who drink this milk are getting fatter and fatter and the beef eaters looks like fatty cows. To day 70% of US population is considered obese. Arvind Amin ask34amin Phone & Fax: (512) 918-0831 Mahatma Gandhiji Sardar Patel Team member of Gandhiji's Freedom movement. Guest guest
So are the cows/buffaloes injected with hormones daily to increase milk yield in India. Any organisation checking the milk for their presence? Rajinder - ask34amin Tuesday, September 12, 2006 5:00 PM Re: [HealthyIndia] There is an urgent need to ban GM crop in India. Guest guest
Respected Rajinderji, Your fears are well founded. Almost everyday on TV we hear of youth trying to change their sex through sex change operations. Todays newspaper carried a story that a boy in an Orissa village has developed full fledged breasts. This is the direct result of hormones being used on cattle. The obesity epidemic is also due to growth hormones used to fatten goats and cows for increased meat production, as pointed out by Arvindji. We " unscientific " people can know the connection but researchers using up crores of rupees fail to find the connection. Not surprising, because once the cause is known the research funds would dry up.
