Thank you for this. I've been a little troubled this morning. I recommended yoga to someone for sciatica, because it cured mine, which I got from over doing it with the leg press at the gym. I recommended this on a Christian weight loss group. Yoga is obviously taboo, as is meditation, as I think most anything of an eastern nature is.I didn't respond back at all, mostly becasue I'm extremely non-violent and don't want to cause controversy of any kind. I just start thinking and reflecting. I think what does "Be still, and know that I am God." mean, if meditation is wrong. I also thought about Gandhi. Would Christians oppose Gandhi? I read lots of Yogananda who actually helps me better understand Christ's teachings.I prayed this morning and asked to understand. Then you write the verse from Psalms and also refer to the "goose bump" feeling, which I get often when I just know something was truly

inspired or in other words an inspiration from God.Then, in coming home from the store, I'm listening to a program on the radio about non-violence; and of course Gandhi is referred to.I'm just a round peg in a square hole, trying to fit into the Bible belt community I live in. I personally feel that we should all just be citizens of the world and follow the golden rule, which I think is the same, only put forth in somewhat different words in all religions. So, thanks for the signs or synchronicities. Now I'll just wait for Christ or Yoganada to take physical form and appear before me and set me straight about all these conflicts and life issues.JerriNoel Gilbert <sattva wrote: Love & Meditation … By Noel Gilbert No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwelleth in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. (1 John 4: 12 & 13) Be still, and know that I am God (PSALMS 46.10) Love is an intelligent energy, which is propelled outwardly from the nucleus by a strong sense of an appreciation. It is the same energy that runs up and down your spine and gives you gooses bumps when you hear a piece of music that you really love and/or appreciate. But there are different levels of love because there are different levels of appreciation because there are different levels of

understanding. It's rather easy to love, appreciate and understand a piece of music. It's much harder to love, appreciate and understand all of life's experiences. It is our judgmental attitude that obstructs this flow of love from flowing to the surface and healing us. Our constant looking for right or wrong, big or small, bad or good that constricts our consciousness and keeps us from seeing the divine orchestration that surrounds us at all times. Thus the need for prayer and meditation… Meditation broadens our consciousness and allows us to be observational by nature. When the mind is able to see divine orchestration, the body starts to relax, love begins to flow freely again and healing begins to take place. Affirmation; I will not fight the universe because the universe is as it should be. I relax and cast aside all mental and physical burdens allowing God to express through me and

manifest Perfect Love, Peace, Health and Wisdom. I am extremely thankful for this; Thank you father, Thank you my friend. This affirmation is to be stated slowly over and over again with a sense of physical feeling.
