Power of Yoga

I am myself doing yoga for the last 50 years and

with every passing day, I have been getting more and

more convinced that with ever-new diseases cropping up

for which there are hardly any remedies with

allopathic doctors except the symptomatic treatment,

yoga is the only weapon of last resort that the

unfortunate patients can look to.

Having learnt various types of yoga and meditation

techniques including Patanjali Yoga, Transcendental

Meditation , Osho techniques and what not, let me

confess that many yoga practitioners also do suffer

from cancer, asthma, slip-disc and other spinal aches

and pains whether they admit or not.

I too suffered from many such life-threatening

problems. Not finding any proper cure under any of the

known therapies, I started looking at animals, birds

and some other species. What I found to my amazement

is that all such animals and birds continue to

practice some instinctive exercises without even being

conscious about them just to keep themselves fit like

a fiddle.

You might have noticed the particular way of

stretching the spine by the dogs or cats before they

get up and take to run. Similarly, the birds go on

twitching their body parts and wings to keep

themselves fit. Human beings also had similar

instinctive behavioral exercises which were lost as

they started walking on two legs losing the natural

balance between their hands, feet and the torso.

Modern lifestyle further added to their woes.

They also started eating fast foods that are too oily

and over-processed compared to the natural foods that

all animals and birds are ordained to eat by their

inherent nature. The man-made air-pollution,

water-pollution and the over-use of chemical

fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides added to the

list of life-threatening diseases.

When no doctor could cure me of my various ailments, I

took to some spine-stretching and twitching of the

legs and feet that started me helping to cure my

various spinal aches and pains like backache, cervical

spondylitis, slip-disc and sciatica pains, etcetra,

within a very short time.

When the same exercises were synchronized with deep

breathing and pranayams like the Kapaal-bhati and

Anulom-vilom, as taught by Swami Ramdevji Maharaj,

coupled with eating more of seasonal fruits and

vegetables and less of highly processed and refined

foods, I was cured of age-old asthma, migraine and

frequent coughs and colds.

For the benefit of all human beings who are still

suffering from various ailments, I have put all

details on the Internet at www.atbsnr.com so that

anyone anywhere in the world can log on to it to learn
