Guest guest
Hi Onelove, As mentioned in a previous post, I've completed 2 Liver Cleanses and I will start my Ayurvedic cleanse on Monday. The issue I'm having is that I'm losing a lot of weight. I used to weigh over 105 lbs but now I'm only 98 lbs. I am 5'3 " tall so I am very underweight. I look like a skeleton If I was overweight I wouldn't mind losing all that weight but I'm skinny. I do feel ok and have a lot of energy so I really want to continue with these cleanses, especially as my skin is improving. However, the issue is that I just look too skinny. My family are concerned about me and my brother who is a Dr said I am underweight and need to eat some meat/dairy etc. I am eating four times a day and usually eat a good balanced diet. I have porridge with soya milk in the mornings, I eat fruits, bread, potato, rice, vegetables, lentils, chick peas, soya chunks/slices etc. Please note that I'm following the Ayurvedic Pitta diet. The only difference in my diet from before is that I don't have any dairy products, meat, fish and sugar (I have eaten a few biscuits from my first cleanse till now, but I rarely eat these types of food). Due to being underweight, I have eaten some chicken twice, but this was not during the actual Liver cleanse. I know you stated Onelove that in any cleanse you're expected to lose weight, but I really can't afford to lose anymore. If I add a little chicken and sugar in my diet, I hope this doesn't effect my Rosacea. I really don't want to go 10 steps back if I have come this far. Please help someone, how can I gain my weight back but help my skin too? Mani
Guest guest
Hi Mani In my porridge in the morning I have coconut and organic seeds like flaxseed, sunflower and pumpkin seeds which help me keep the weight on. I also make flapjacks with oats, honey and rasins. I do eat a little raw cain sugar in things aswell. during the cleanse I cut the honey and raw cain sugar out but between cleanses I include these in my diet. (In small quantities) I also have brought some of the cooking books recommeded by one love and have been making a lovely dairy free rice pudding with dates and rasins, basmati rice, unsweetended soya milk and a little cinnamon, cain sugar and nut meg. (I buy everything organic) Hope this gives you some ideas Natasha > " mani_basi " <mani_basi > > > Weight Problem >Thu, 15 Jul 2004 15:37:26 -0000 > >Hi Onelove, > >As mentioned in a previous post, I've completed 2 Liver Cleanses and >I will start my Ayurvedic cleanse on Monday. > >The issue I'm having is that I'm losing a lot of weight. Guest guest
Hi Mani Since you feel you look too thin, I am going to suggest you include moderate amounts of not fried poultry and fish in your anti pitta diet. I normally do not feel this is necessary, but in your case I do. Also keep in mind that I recommend unrefined sugar also know as sucanat or rapadura available at the health food store. White refined sugar is not to be eaten. I will leave it up to you if you want to include dairy products. Please see my prior post here http://health./message/24 Lastly, your diet should still be centered around cooked whole grains, legumes, vegetables, and some fruit. Kind regards OneLove mani_basi <mani_basi wrote: > Hi Onelove, > > As mentioned in a previous post, I've completed 2 > Liver Cleanses and > I will start my Ayurvedic cleanse on Monday. > > The issue I'm having is that I'm losing a lot of > weight.
