Guest guest
One of my close person is suffering from Parkinson for last 17 yrs (she is around 55 now). I have been watching her health situation going bad everyday. She has been taking allopathic medicine since dignosed & currently she taking very high dosage of allopathic medicine, which scares us. We tried almost every type of medication starting with acupressure, acupuncture, tibetian & ayurvedic but as of now we are unsuccessful. During the course we consulted an ayurvedic doctors in Gujrat (Dr. Mukesh Paneri), he has many claims of curing Parkinson cases & with no wrong feeling I would like to mention our case, after his medication as suggested with both side reviews for 8-9 months she got very bad piles(looks like was too hot) and no change in her condition. One of my friend mention that some doctors in Munipal have discovered some medication that may of help for Parkinson. I donot received any further information on it. Please let me know if you know of any help for a patient suffering from this disease. Or anyone around Delhi who can help. Note: We are a little skeptic to for Deep brain surgery. Thanks for your time & suggestion.
Guest guest
Parkinson disease is controllable, not curable at this age. In young age patients, less than 40, all symptoms will disappear. Doctors can make tall claims on computer screens, but only patient age, vitality, family atmosphere, his/her desire to live healthy can make a miracle. If a lady not having menstruated for 4 years can become pregnant when someone showers love and affection on her, what about Parkinson disease? In most cases involving central nervous system needing long term medication, allopathic medication does not give much result later as body develops resistance to it. Body has a good intelligence to differentiate poison from nutrition. If you wish to continue allopathy, keep 1 hour gap between medicines of ayurveda and allopathy. Following is a suggestion, not a medical advise, for which you have to seek consultation from your present doctor only. Buy these powders and mix them well. Aswagandha root powder : 25 grams Kauncha Seed Powder : 75 grams Wacha powder (Vekhand) : 25 grams Jatamansi powder : 20 grams Sahankhpushpi powder : 25 grams In case you find it dificult to get small quantities given above, buy 4 times the weights given. Mix all powder well. Take 1 tsp (3-4 grams) of this mixture, mix in 1/2 tsp honey and give her to lick three times a day. Once after breakfast, once after lunch and once after dinner. If you have access to Indian country cow, giving her half a cup of cow milk after licking the above medicine. This medication is for controlling Parkinsonism, to be taken life long. After Lunch and dinner, let her take 2 tablets each 125 mg of Chandrakala ras, again mix in honey. Continue for next 3 months only. Alternative is to crush chnadrakala ras tables in 1 tsp Brahmi Ghritam and lick. At bed time, take 1 cup milk, add 1 cup water, 1/2 tsp sunth (ginger) powder, 1 tsp aswgandha powder. Boil on low fire till 1 cup remains. Add Khadishakkar and few grains of Cardamom (Ilaichi) and stirr well. Let her drink look warm. As she has PILES add 1 tsp cow ghee in this kheer. Khadishakkar and Ilaichi is must, as she has piles. You can massage her hand and spine without any pressure, using Mahanarayan Tel or Mahamash tel. Though so many suggestions, follow slowly one by one. do not hurry to try everything together. Expect at least 3 weeks before you see any change. quality of sleep should improve. Food: Take soaked dates, almonds at breakfast time. Add 2 cashew nuts slowly. IF teeth are there let her chew, else grind and give. soaking water let her drink. Rice, moong bean dhal, Jwar Maka roti Ok. All leafy green veggies OK. Dudhi (Louki) and Kaddu(Pumpkin) is very good for this condition. If you can give fresh juice of Louki, good. Dudhi halwa is also liked by them. Petha made from Pumpkin is also good. These vegetables (Louki and Pumpkin will take care of her piles. Avoid Maida preparations, Chhole, spicy curries, Garam masala (cloves, tejpatta, cinnamon, black pepper etc). As a quick tonic to weakness, try Drakshavaleha, 1 tsp three times a day with breakfast, lunch and dinner. If there is a bleeding from pile, this will relieve it. Add plenty of green leafy vegetables if she is not having smooth bowel motions. This author is also not aware of Manipal doctor having discovered something for Parkinsonism. Report progress in 3-4 weeks. ayurveda , " mail_manu_unam " <mail_manu_unam wrote: > > One of my close person is suffering from Parkinson for last 17 yrs > (she is around 55 now). > I have been watching her health situation going bad everyday. > She has been taking allopathic medicine since dignosed & currently she > taking very high dosage of allopathic medicine, which scares us. > > We tried almost every type of medication starting with acupressure, > acupuncture, tibetian & ayurvedic but as of now we are unsuccessful. > During the course we consulted an ayurvedic doctors in Gujrat (Dr. > Mukesh Paneri), he has many claims of curing Parkinson cases & with no > wrong feeling I would like to mention our case, after his medication > as suggested with both side reviews for 8-9 months she got very bad > piles(looks like was too hot) and no change in her condition. > > One of my friend mention that some doctors in Munipal have discovered > some medication that may of help for Parkinson. Guest guest
Dear Friends, I am silent member of this group. Practicing panchkarma since 19 years, and during this period came across several cases of Parkinson. My suggestion and line of treatments is; Abhyang, Svedana, Pind svedana, Basti (combination of Anuvasan and Niruh) and Nasya - daily for continues 15 days. During these days, I also suggest shirodhara twice a week. General result in patient's words is 'improved', or '10 to 15% better'. Parkinson is not easy to treat. Pl use Panchkarma with Internal medicines. Combine approach will be more helpful. Best luck. Dr. Prerak Shah www.ayulink.com
Guest guest
herbs like kapikachu, ashwagandha and a little used but important herb called parasikayavani (hyocyamus - TOXIC!) may be helpful to alleviate some symptoms, and allow her to reduce meds, giving her some relief from the side-effects of these drugs; done in association with pancha karma, the regimen will likely be more successful; all this of course should be administered by a trained professional in addition, you might consider Dr. Pearlmutter's protocol of injectable glutathione, an important antioxidant it will cause no harm, and clinical/anecdotal reports appear to be very promising: http://www.1whey2health.com/parkinsons_glutathione.htm best... todd caldecott On 27-Apr-07, at 3:27 AM, ayurveda wrote: > Posted by: " mail_manu_unam " mail_manu_unam mail_manu_unam > One of my close person is suffering from Parkinson for last 17 yrs > (she is around 55 now). > I have been watching her health situation going bad everyday. > She has been taking allopathic medicine since dignosed & currently she > taking very high dosage of allopathic medicine, which scares us. <snip> Caldecott todd www.toddcaldecott.com
Guest guest
Many thanks Dr.Shah for focusing Panchakarma in this regard. The question about the cure of Parkinson often raise a conflict in the minds of practitioners.Yet personally i would strongly say it is absolutely curable through panchakarma therapy perticularly with Vasti karma prvided done by an expert. Drug therapy is of less use(Shamana chikitsa) Than panchakarma. Parkinson being chronic vatik disease vasti is the ultimate choice. Opinion of charaka is quite appropriate here as how he emphasizing the importance of vasti Shakha gatah kosta ghatascha rogah marmordhwa sravavayam gatascha ye santi dosham na hi kaschi danyo vaayoh param janmani heturasti vinmutra pittaadi malaashayaanam vikshepa sanghata karassa yasmaat tasamaat ati vruddasya shamaaya naanyat vastim vinaa bheshajamasti kinchit tasmaatchikitsaardha miti bruvanti " Saravaam chikitsaamapi vastimeke " " Dr. Prerak Shah " <ayulink11 wrote: Dear Friends, I am silent member of this group. Guest guest
We have little to no knowledge of panchakarma. Can anyone recommend some person/place in or near NCR region(Delhi) which can help us with panchakarma treatment?
