Guest guest
Hi all i,m a silent member of this group & have few doubts. actaully we have tried auyurvedic treatment from a presitigious & authentic institution without any benfeit or temporary relief. 1.If husband is having some problem say ( mental stress) & wife is also having some on going issues like anemia & they want to conceive; how it will effect the baby. what could be done to prevent negativities. there is some info on net & mainly high profile doctors but i need an honest opinion. 2. what is acidosis; how it can be diagnosed & main symptoms.. where i can find genuine info. what can be done to reverse this. i have heard about ionize water/ alkalize water filter in assisting balance. any idea. is it works. is taht impairs immune system. like frequent cold/ flu/ body pains/ poor cirulation, twitching etc. 3. any idea about urine therapy. does our vedas has any description of it & how to get the correct source of info. 4. the ayurveda trt we had from two different persons in AU & india. one supports metal can be given while other say NO. i understand there must be a logic behind this. like homeopathy gives posions to kill poison. P.S. we are practising pranayama daily. Thanks & Regards Mona
Guest guest
Dear Mona, Here are some clarifications for your queries 1.) Unless the stress of the husband is reducing the sperm count and the anaemia is preventing the lady from ovulating or menstruating; therotically there should be no reason why a lady should not concieve. After concieving, if the woman is having low folic acid levels, then there are chances of nueral cord defects in the baby. If the anaemia is severe (Haemoglobin less than 7 gms), the child will not grow properly in the womb, resulting small for weight baby. Sometimes it can also cause abortion in the first three months of pregnancy, if there is gross malnourishment of the baby in womb. To reduce stresss, you need to address the root-cause of stress. If it is unavoidable, like due to the nature of occupation, then relaxation through holiday breaks, yoga and meditation, as well as regular anti-stress panchkarma schedule may be worked out. To recover from anaemia, plenty of green leafy vegetables and fresh seasonal fruits should be included in daily diet. If there is any obvious or inconspicuous loss of blood due to worms, bleeding from any part of body (specifically from rectum or uterus), that condition should be corrected. Other types of anaemias need specialist consultation. 2.) Acidosis is a pathological condition when the pH of blood becomes acidic. This condition occurs in medical emergencies like severe asthma (respiratory acidosis), diabetes coma (metabolic acidosis) and like wise. The condition requires urgent medical intervention and much of the medicines are given by intravenous route. Hence it is not the matter of household / leisure discussion. I am not aware as to which context you are using the word 'acidosis'. Immunity / poor circulation / flu are all seperate and independant issues as far as medical science is concerned. 3.) Eight types of animal urines are mentioned in Ayurveda. Cow, buffalo, goat, sheep, horse ,donkey, camel and elephant are those eight animals. Most of the use is external. Cow's and goat's urine are used for processing metal based medicines. You can go through the Ayurvedic books to know more about them or contact a competant Ayurvedic physician in your vicinity for more information. 4.) Whether to use a mineral / metal based medicine or only herbal medicine is not the topic of debate as far as Ayurvedic treatment is concerned in India. USA, UK, EU countries, New Zealand and Australia are more harping on this issue for reasons best known to them. The excuse they have put forward is toxicity of metals causing multi-organ failure particularly the kidneys. Hence the difference of opinion in Indian and Australian treatment. Guest guest
Dr Muzumdar Many thanks for your elaborative answers. you are right Doctors here practise ayurvedic & naturopathic way. 1. regarding anemia. hemoglobin was found 7.4 three months back & i,m taking supplements & taking fresh green vegetables though naturopath has given me iron powder to take with honey at bed time. i haven,t started yet. i do not see any harm in trying for two weeks initially. 2. Urine test of my husband states acidic so naturopath advised him to change diet & take some powder to increase alkaline level & use of alkaline water. he said acidic environment in body is bed for diseases like arthritis, pain, infections & anxiety. he used the term acidosis during the discussion. 3. My quest was for self urine therapy which a neighbourer of us advised to my husband. i did not like the idea at all but he advised my husband that it has some basis in ayurveda. thanks Mona ayurveda , muzumdar <dahpc wrote: > Here are some clarifications for your queries > 1.)
