Guest guest
I have been suffering from psoriasis on and off for about 10 years. it heals and again reappears after a few years. I have consulted recently an ayurvedic doctor, she gave me bang bhasma and mahamanjisthadi and also told me of doing a panchkarma later on. I have not received any relief and it keeps on increasing and because of the severity of the attack, I am very much demoralized. Can anybody suggest some ideal medication for psoriasis. Will undergoing panchkarma heal psoriasis?? Thanks --- Abhijit
Guest guest
hi. try Noni juice, Evening Primrose oil and also something to work on mind, like Gotu Kola, Ashwagandha or Nard.
Guest guest
I found that when I used the mahanaryana oil for my arthritis, that it made my skin feel better too. I have a little psoriasis and it seems that oil helps. Guest guest
DEAR Abhijit, Psoriasis, of long standing duration, is not totally curable. You will need to have Panchkarma done, to kick-start the regression of your flare-ups / attacks. Remissions is the nature of Psoriasis. Vamana, Virechana and Rakta-mokshan are three main Panchkarma procedures you need to undergo repeatedly for longer attack-free intervals. Even the internal medicines are not sufficient to control the disease process. Guest guest
Your description does sound like typical psoriasis. It has a tendency to come and go, getting worse each time. The classical treatment for this is pachakarma - virechana. You may require several session to really remove the cause of the problem but at least four times a year on an ongoing basis to be effective in the long term. However unless you are willing to change your diet and lifestyle also the pachakarma will only have a short term effect. I suggest you consult an Ayurvedic Doctor who is willing to take you through this process. Btw, is there any possiblity of skin cancer from psoriasis ?? Well alopathic medicine has a treatment called PUVA ray for psoriasis, this treatment results in skin cancer within a couple of years. Thanks to all for your responses. Love --- Abhijit
Guest guest
Working purely on the skin symptoms it is often found that using chemical free products to wash the skin improves the condition and reduces redness and flakiness, reducing stress also improves things.
