Guest guest
Dear Swamy, Why use the word magic as adjective for Ayurvedic herb? Do you know this word has become a curse to Ayurveda and created lots of havoc in literate people? People start expecting out-of-the-world results because of this word. Science does not believe in magic. Magic was a concept when human mind had no answers for some natural phenomenon or the apparent cause-effect mechanism was unknown in ancient times. Ayurveda has itself never used the word " CHAMATKAAR " ( sanskrit word for magic) in any of its herb property discriptions. It has been agreat uphill task for the stalwarts of Ayurveda to re-instate the glory of Ayurveda as a Health Promoting Medical Life Science. Do you want to put Ayurveda back to the aboriginal / jungle stage by using this word " magic " ? Dr.D.B.Muzumdar M.D.Ayurveda-Medicine (MUMBAI - INDIA) < dahpc > ________________________________ <ayurveda> Re: Magic shrub to get a revival - thehealingbenefits of Guggul I am glad to share with you an article which I received in another group, Sanskritpole and my thanks to the friend Shri Shripad Deshmukh, who posted it there. Guest guest
another good attack on the use of magic in Ayurveda. yes it is very true if you use the word magic,it really does take away from the scientific principles of Ayurveda and conjures snake charmers, etc. it is definitely not appropriate for the proper resurgence of Ayurveda. once again I applaud you dr. muzumdar for quickly bring back light from darkness. sincerely, Raja G.
