Guest guest
Hi Melinda.. I don't know enough about the herbs yet.. but for detox (and I was diagnosed with Heavy Metal Toxicity).. I take.. L-Glutathione Alpha Ketoglutaric Acid NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) I also take Milk Thistle to help my liver... and numerous vitamins..mineral as well as other supplements that my original doc set up. I've added some things here and there...but specifically for detox... I don't do chelation or any of that..though I have contacts that have. I will also be interested to hear the answer to your question from an herbal standpoint. Of course avoid products with aluminum...mercury..etc... and other metals in them.. My lead levels were higher than my mercury! I was wondering how they got so high. I though that perhaps it was from wearing makeup all those years since after becoming more enlightened I saw they contained lead. Any comments? I'm still trying to figure out why they put petroleum in products! Beth Is there a recipe for detoxifying the body from heavy metal toxicity? Thanks, Melinda
Guest guest
It's worse than you think. All sorts of strange things are put in products, which can aggravate a condition of metal toxicity. Right Michael.. but unfortunately not worse than I think. I KNOW how bad it is. Remember I cannot tolerate formaldehyde ... yes.. it's everywhere. First thing I usually smell when I walk into a building is usually the carpeting.. and if not that.. the clothing..accessories..etc.. I can only buy natural fiber clothes and even then must go through a process of "cleaning" them up. That doesn't mean I will necessarily be able to wear something I buy. Sometimes the dyes and chemicals can be more overwhelming than a lot of airing, washing, and soaking. Our clothes... our homes... our food and water you name it. The thing about MSG ..is the substitutes that are often used are just as toxic to the CNS. I wet through a period of years I was about 90 lbs.. and I'm 5"7" because I could tolerate almost nothing. The only reason I happened to mention petroleum in particular is that I see the commercials night after night with all these health products that contain petroleum, among other harmful ingredients of course. I have a friend with severe MCS who reminds me of myself five years ago. I was finally able to go over to their home but got quite ill from it...I went right into hypoglycemia.. which has only happened to me from one other building which was the doctors office that I no longer am traveling to. It's obvious to me and was to my husband also... their home is very toxic for the moment. The guy had a bottle of Lubriderm on his bathroom vanity. I brought it over to him because he was lying on his bed pretty sick, and asked him if he knew there was petroleum (for one thing) in this product. His eyes open wide, and said he can't tolerate petroleum, I looked at his wife, and said it's time to go through all the products. Generally speaking, we're not trained with this knowledge in our formative years. The other disgrace is mainstream medicine "control" over the medical establishment so that we do go for help if we get sick, in most cases we are not getting help in the right direction. They'll kill you if your sick.. and kill you if your not sick. All personal hygiene products on every level, cleaning products, as well as food labels need to be read and we need to understand what we are purchasing when we buy something. Thank you for the mentioning the Chaparral. I have heard of it...but never tried. As far as candida, I take garlic, a probiotic, a supplement called Yeast Defense.. and food monitoring. The probiotic I'm taking is the best one I've tolerated so far. I will go get it later and write in the name of it. I'm sure there are many others equally good or better... just glad I found something that agrees with me that seems to do a good job. Guest guest
It's worse than you think. All sorts of strange things are put in products, which can aggravate a condition of metal toxicity. One of those is a thing called " glycerol ester of pine rosin " , which is present in many sports drinks and even some regular sodas. Monosodium glutamate can also be an irritant when metal toxicity is present. And of course anyone with any toxic substances present will be more sensitive to formaldehyde, which is in new clothes and cleverly disguised in many shampoos. The " classic " herb against metal toxicity is Chaparral. It is a very bitter herb, and is considered dangerous by the FDA. So it can be hard to find, unless you have a good bulk source and make capsules yourself. Of course, making a Chaparral tea is ok. I used it first back in 1981 when i was detoxing from 10 years of heavy marijuana use, and it helped immensely. (At that time it was impossible to obtain empty capsules, so i had to drink the tea. Yuck.) Lately i've been using it against a possible Candida infestation, with mixed results. Its main action seems to be in mobilizing many complex toxic substances out of the body, including metal salts and metabolites (secondary chemicals created by some substances including marijuana). Guest guest
Dear Melinda, The Total Body Cleanse as outlined in the files will do that. Special emphasis needs to be placed on the Intestinal Cleanse #2 part of the program. Lemon Egg and Panther Piss (also in the files) should be used while doing the entire cleanse so as to facilitate a salt exchange with the heavy metal salts (most heavy metals [not all] are in salt form in the body), and using these two will allow those dangerous salts to be released and then expelled from the body. Guest guest
At the risk of repeating myself ;o) the best bet is to do the Total Body Cleanse Program. Detoxification IS the way to go. Guest guest
Hello Beth Thanks for another mail about stuff I want to know about, *smile*... I told last time I would try green clay (bentonite). I have used it for 3 weeks now. It really works. But it takes time, of course. From first day my digestive system turned to be totally " normal " , no diarrhea, bowel movement twice a day (have never had it that way all my life), and my guts feels so " clean " ....weird feeling... Then I got the usual flu symptoms you get when you detoxify your body...its now gone, so I know I am over the flu-thing Green clay is too known to detoxify your body. Especially if you take treatments where you get that clay on your body and let the toxins get out through skin, and drink it at same time. Im going to take that clay-treatment in january. The woman who told me about the clay- treatment told me that where people are most poisoned with toxins, is where the clay is changing colour from green to a dirty yellow color.....cool, huh?? Im drinking clay not only for heavy metal toxins, but too for chemical toxins.... About cloths: I almost never buy new cloths...only used. Make-up: Quitted to use it many years ago. Use it very seldom - " when I have to " , and very little of it...mascara and a liner is all. Can only have it on for some hours, and off with it, because it starts to scratch... Commercial health products: I make my own soap and shampoo. Its the greatest Ive used. No allergy to them and you know whats in them. My boyfriend love the shampoo I make, hehe.....I use it as laundry soap too. Maybe homemade laundry soap do that alot of toxins in cloths dissappear?? who knows...lye is a strange thing. Its so alkaline that it kills...but together with oil, you get soap which are much, much better than any commercial soap... And creams and stuff like that: I usually try to use only oils. Olive oil is what I have used on my hands, which use to get dry in winter. Today I am trying norwegian coldpressed hempseed oil. From organic grown hemp. It stays too on the bottle that it doesnt have that stuff they use in oils to have longer shelf-life. Will tell you if I tolerate that oil on my hands and face And I drink it of course. I rather use that oil than the Udo's choice oil. I dont know why, but I dont like Udo's choice oil somehow... I guess my body know whats right for me.... Happy new year to you and the other people on this list Marit herbal remedies, LJaguar2212@a... wrote: > It's worse than you think. Guest guest
Hi Marit Nice to see another norwegian on this list too. And a fellow norwegian soapmaker! I also make my own soaps, have done that for some years. During the summer I pick wild herbs to use in my soaps, nettles are a favourite, they make the soaps beautyful and green, with no artificial color. I make herbal tinctures too, I have lots of St.Johns worth growing in the area of my cottage in the mountains of Selbu in Sør-Trøndelag. After Christmas I'm out of creams and lotions, but if you would like to try the ones I make I will gladly send you some for free. I'm too much of an allergic person myself to give a promise that you wont react with an allergy by using them. But if you want to, I can send you some when I have made up a new stock. I dont have a company, so I dont make very big batches. Greetings from Heidi in Norway heidi
