Guest guest
I do not feel qualified to describe these complex concepts in Ayurvedic terms; I have never studied Ayurveda in Sanskrit since I do not know Sanskrit. Example; I do not know the Ayurvedic distinction and the terms used between the ANS and CNS. Perhaps Dr Muzumdar or others could help us here. I noted that Dr Muzumdar has made such correspondences in his previous posts. There in Pune we have Dr Subhash Ranade who has a deep knowledge in Ayurveda, Yoga, and western science. I know that many of these definitions have been done. In TCM (my first training in traditional five element science) all correspondences between modern western science and traditional science has been fully elaborated. I am waiting for some great scholar to come out with a book that will make these correspondences in depth. Perhaps someone like Acharya Balakrishan will do this since he is a great Sanskrit scholar who also has deep knowledge of western scientific concepts. I am sure there are many such people around the world. This is a missing link as Ayurveda becomes known around the world and western science becomes a part of Indian culture, we need a consensus language but this is not fully in place as of now. I have noticed that this problem is also there in Astrolgy, different languages to describe the same things. It is just a matter of time before these problems are solved. In the meantime Ayurvedic scientists and western scientists must make do with what little we do know of each other's science to communicate with each other. The communication may be tedious but I think you would agree that it is important for us to be able to do this. We have much of value to be shared with each other. Liz ______________ > It is my request you to elaborate the same pathophysiology only in Ayurvedic terms if you can for the benefit fo Vaidya. I mean instade of using terms like ANS or SNS if you can apply Vyan Vayu Prakopa,Rhudrava etc. then the concepts will become more clear in the light of Ayurvedic Principals.
