Guest guest
this is not necessarily true anymore. I have met people who have been harmed by having scope of the colon. In ayurveda we can treat without invasively going into some one's colon. We treat according to symptoms and checking the pulse etc. ......................................................... Guest guest
Surely the true Vaidya would not need an allopathic diagnostic technique when all the subtle Ayurvedic diagnostic techniques are there to help assess the patient as a whole, any surgical or semi-surgical procedures have not only the element of risk but the trauma of them which are known to be harmful to the patient. Everyday I meet patients who have been injured by careless handling by allopathic practitioners in simple as well as complex procedures. Guest guest
Dear Jane Though the specialist in there own fields are doing mistakes causing suffering to patients.that dose not mean the whole system is at fault. This can be an individual approach whether to advice colonoscopy or not. But irrespective of Pathy used by medicos colonoscopy has its own merit. Even Colonoscopy can miss a cancer growth in colon but it helped many in early detection of colon cancer. As per my knowledge there is no parallel test or way of examination in Ayurveda to detect and diagnose cancer of colon. Second thing when I have suggested Colonoscopy I have in my mind certain disease which has to be ruled out before suggesting any treatment. For me accurate diagnosis is the key of success. Guest guest
Diagnosis and diagnostic techniques and " advances " smacks too much of allopathy for me - where everyone has a name for everything and a cure for nothing. It reminds me of the description of that brilliant numerologist who described one of her subjects as knowing the cost of everything but the value of nothing. Do you still know me if you do not know my name? Or if you have never seen me? Jane .................................................................... .. Guest guest
Dear Upadhye, I think it wise to seek out tests if practical and affordable as well. We need to see that western medicine has its place in emergencies and diagnostic testing. Let's give credit where it is due. all the best, Chamae - " ajeya upadhye " ayurveda Re: Re: colonoscopy required?
