Guest guest
I already posted a link about this. Bhasma literally translated means ash. In this case, incenerated ashes of inorganic metals with organic substances in an alchemical process which transforms the metal into a compound which is far beyond any contemporary chelation process. ____________ > Can you tell me what " basma " means ........... Guest guest
I think one thing we need to realize is that there are very lengthy procedures for making bhasma. I think if the procedure is not followed as it was performed by siddhars then perhpas the bhasma will contain heavy metals, but if it is prepeared properly, the metals should be turned to ash and transformed. I do not think taking heavy metals directly into the body is safe either - no matter the amount. Homeopathic remedies do not contain the substance, but the energy of plants metals etc. But we can not tell as the consumer whether a bhasm is safe or not. Unlewss we literally know who is making the bhasma and how e n not know for sure whether it contains metals or not. Those who are of strong health may not be affecte by small amount of heavy metals, but what about those who are week? Even the very strong of health may be affected. ___________________________ In this case, incenerated ashes of inorganic metals with organic substances in an alchemical process which transforms the metal into a compound which is far beyond any contemporary chelation process. Guest guest
Your posting inspires me to take up a little research about the regulatory standards of bhasmas in India. If anyone has this info, please post, otherwise I will do a little digging on this and get back.. mandv m <mandakiniven wrote: I think one thing we need to realize is that there are very lengthy procedures for making bhasma. Guest guest
Bhasma is something that has concerned me for many years and I have avoided until now taking them or suggesting them to others. There was the alchemical movement in the medevil period globaly during which time metals were used and poisons were used. This is around the time that homeopathy emerged is it not? I do have many questions though about it. Mainly because it is the foundation of siddha to use bhasma. Only due to this I have a reservation that perhaps there is some way to use metals to help. Chelation is done here also, silver water and gold water are used to cure many illnesses and I have seen them work myself. So I am wondering if the processing is the thing that makes a bhasma good or evil. I am not sure where to look for material to answer my questions about this. I know that the urti in Paalani in TAmil Nadu is made of metals and this temple is known for its healing properties. I am searching for more info on Siddha and am not able to find anything. I have heard that their are siddha preparations with bone as well. I would like to hear people talk about siddha and the origin of bhasma in Siddha system.
