Guest guest
Dear Jane, Nectar is vegan/vegatarian. Honey is not since it is 'of an animal/insect'. Honey is a great medicine, condiment and sweetner, but it is in the same category as milk or eggs: nutritious yet not vegan/vegie. all the best, Chamae ________________ Why would honey not be vegetarian? Guest guest
Jane, You speaking of a subcategory of vegetarianism called lacto-ovo. It does assure vitamin B12 uptake. atb, Chamae ____________________ Vegetarians consume eggs, milk, honey, cheese, Vegans may not.
Guest guest
Perhaps terminology is different in different areas but I have been a vegetarian since 1957 in UK & Australia and we eat dairy etc & honey - vegan does not - it may be different where you live.
