Guest guest
Thank you Roddy: that is a very interesting case study. I am going to enter that into my database for treatment strategies if you have no objections. Jim Chaffee
Guest guest
Rod- You didnt mention whether the blood was tarry or bright red. Did you attribute the bleeding to spl. defic in which the vessels are not able to contain the blood? No pain means no blood stasis, yet blood congestion did show under the tongue. Given her age, the red dots could just indicate the qi deficiency. Great call on the formula - the power of formulae never cease to amaze me. What points did you use? Guest guest
Hi, My 71yr old mother has been suffering from Irritable bowel syndrome on and off for the past 10yrs. Her main complaint is diarrhoea. She ofter has 1 or 2 watery stools before noon. She is malnourished and underweight. Her food choices are very limited as she is always under constant fear that the food she is eating might cause diarrhoea. She eats chappathi, rice, dal and vegetables, buttermilk, a cup of tea and a banana in a day. She also suffers from anxiety. Allopathic treatment produced very little improvement. I would like to know what kind of diet she should follow according to ayurveda and if she could be helped by any ayurvedic medications. Thank You, Savihri Kumar
Guest guest
Detailed reply to a similar post is available by clicking the mouse on next line http://health.ayurveda/message/6964 While there exist some formulation and general lifestyle recommendations, it must be said that treatment should be done only after consulting a vaidya, and it requires interaction, at least say once a month. The detail modalities of the treatment for IBS are discussed in above post, but need to be suitably altered for each patient. The underlying cause is candidiasis in most cases, and not only requires a long treatment, but severe food restrictions. Die-off reactions as candida gets eliminated require some support from vaidya off and on. In summary, you should consult a nearby vaidya and follow his advise. The treatment time can extend to 8-12 months, since disease has been with you for nearly ten years. ______________________ My 71yr old mother has been suffering from Irritable bowel syndrome on and off for the past 10yrs. Guest guest
Dear friend At this age some times person's diagesting capacity becomes poor. In such conditions Ayurveda suggested Rasayana therapy to strengthen weak organs and at the same time treats disease. I will suggest to use Suvarna parpati 30mg before meal with buttermilk. This medicine will enhance the power of diagestion and give strength to intestine.
