Sleep - how to wake up refreshed

Hello everyone. I am hoping you can help me. I do not seem to wake up

refreshed anymore. I have been doing everything I could think of to sleep

better. I have no problem falling asleep and try to get to bed before 10. I

have a lot of energy. I am pre-dominantly a fire sign. My dosha is Pitta.

I've rid myself of sugar and caffeine, but that doesn't seem to help either.

My metabolism is extremely fast. I always go to work and feel like I need a

nap to get through the day.

Last night I went to bed at 9, fell asleep within 10 minutes and woke up at

3. I went back to sleep and got up at 5. I usually wake up once somewhere

between 2 - 4. I am wondering if I need less sleep than I think I do? I

didn't feel too refreshed when I woke up at 3 today. It usually takes me 20

to 30 minutes to wake up.

Thanks for your help.

In addition to expert advice online, I would suggest to try the simple three to

five-minute exercises as detailed at www.atbsnr.com (by going to the link on The

Technique) while simultaneously following the equally simple do's and don'ts

just before you get to find yourself fresh-like-a-flower. That has been the

experience of most people who started practicing ATBSNR technique, although it

was meant for relief from chronic or acute back pain. There is no harm in trying

it as it has no side effects but has wonderful side-benefits of good health in

many ways as you might find from feedback under the links " Patient Feedback " and

" In The Press " .

You are welcome to email me for more info if required.

Wishing you speedy solution to your problem, nay problems, if there be more.

Dear Debra

I would suggest to try some thing very simple.

Have your Dinner at least 2-3 hours before going to bed.

I usually do eat around 6. Go to bed around 9:30.

I have a high metabolism so I get hungry often.

Could it be that I am getting too much sleep? I get up around 5 but

sometimes wake up around 3.

Today I feel great. Can't tell you what I did differently. I even had two

beers last night. I went to bed at 9:30 and got up at 5. I did wake up at 3

but went back to sleep.

Yoga can often help with this. Don't eat late at night. One

especially good exercise is Half Spinal Twist.
