Guest guest
Hi, I had some that kept coming back after the dr. removed them. I was told to take a fig stem off the tree, and aply the milk that comes from the stem. I put it on several times a day for a week, and it went away and never came back. Only put the milk or juice on the wart, not the surrounding skin, as it burns the skin. Hope it helps, now if you can only find a fig tree, LOL Renee
Guest guest
I'm not sure what a skin tag is. Is it a light colored growth, similar to a mole but it grows out from the skin? I that a skin tag? I had one about a year ago under a breast where my bra rubbed it. Let me know if that is what you are talking about. I did take care of it naturally, but it was quite painful for a while. Guest guest
I've heard that garlic works on warts to remove them although I don't have any warts to see if this does in fact work. The theory is to cut a piece of garlic exactly the size of the wart, place it over the wart and hold it exactly in place with a bandaid. Leave it on overnight or all day and then take the band aid off. If the wart does not come out, repeat the process until the wart falls out. Garlic will blister the skin so it is important to be sure the garlic isn't any bigger than the wort. Guest guest
If we are talking about regular warts, I have had some that were frozen off by the dermatologist, and came back, as they sometimes will do. I was told to put the milk from a stem of a fig leaf on it several times a day for a week or until it goes away. It worked and never came back. Be careful to put the milk only on wart, as it burns the skin. It may be hard to find a fig tree when you want it tho, and I was just lucky at the time it was right outside my door. Guest guest
Handling for skin tags is the same as warts. Garlic = a cross sectioned slice about a 16th of an inch placed on the tag and sealed with a bandaid to hold it in place. Anyway, Slice a clove of garlic and cut it to about the size of the wart and place it on with a band-aid. Replace it with a new piece regularly. I haven't needed to do this but others have used it with success. Guest guest
Warts are caused by a virus, and the first suggestions that I found were aloe vera gel 2-3x/day for up to 3 mos., orThuja (arbor vitae) in atincture form 1-2x/day for up to 3 mos.. Another source suggests myrrh; oils of clove, lemongrass, peppermint, tea tree, or wintergreen; or tinctures of black walnut, chickweed, goldenseal, and pau d' arco; along with aloe (all) externally. (dilute with distilled water or cold-pressed vegetable oil if irritation occurs) Astragalus or black walnut helps boost the immune system, and rid the body of the virus respectively. Also, you can try crushing a garlic clove, and putting it on the wart (only), cover with a bandage for 24 hrs.. Castor oilo and baking soda paste nightly for 3-6 weeks. Guest guest
Jude's Herbal Remedies says to apply warm castor oil to a bandage and apply to the wart. Replace 3 times a day until wart dissolves. It shouldn't take more than a week (so says the book). Marti
Guest guest
One easy way would be to slice a thin piece of garlic (across the grain) about the size of the wart and place it directly on top with a bandaid holding it in place. Replace once a day and wart should fall off within a week or two depending on its size and depth. Another good way is to soak a bandaid in Organic Cold pressed Castor Oil and place on the wart. Takes a little longer than the garlic but is very effective. Guest guest
Sounds interesting Jean. This one I gotta try. Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington I will share a great success story about my Uncle and a wart that wasgrowing over his eyelid to the extent it was interfering with his eyesight. It was a short matter of time before he had to have surgery. He read if youwould take the inside of a blackened banana peel and tape to the eyelid, itwould kill the wart. He cut a small piece of blackened banana peel andtaped it to his eyelid, to cover the wart. In less than a week, the wartdried up and fell off. It never came back (been over 5 years).I've also heard if you get stung by a wasp, place the inside of a bananapeel over the sting and it will stop the pain and swelling. I haven't had achance to try this one but it came from a reliable source.I am highly allergic to wasp stings so I keep a gadget that heats the wasp'senzyme to 120 degrees and kills the poison before it gets started. Thisreally works and also on chiggers, my personal bane!Jean Baugh
Guest guest
Molly, Hi, my husband is from AZ. Where in Northern AZ are you? I had warts that kept coming back each time the dr. burned/froze them off. I was told by a friend to put the milky juice from the leaf stem of a fig tree on the wart for a few weeks, several times a day. It worked!!! Guest guest
The reference book that I referred to (Encyclopedia) said something about Banyan Tree latex (break open the leaf - like aloe) working, but as I know people may have ficus trees, I didn't know who had Banyan's, so I didn't mention it; now that you mentioned Fig, I referred back to that book, and right below the Banyan Tree, is Fig, another ficus species (apparently all ficus species may work)! Guest guest
Perhaps each environment nurtures one plant that will cure warts? Here in Wyoming, we have an herb called Yarrow which grows only in disturbed ground. It also grows in the Colorado mountains. You can take a leaf without pulling up the plant, crush it, and hold it on the wart for a few hours with a Band-Aid or other tape. This often works. I have heard of other wart cures coming from other environments. - herbal remedies 8/13/01 12:26:36 AM [herbal remedies] RE: warts Molly, Hi, my husband is from AZ. Where in Northern AZ are you? They refuse to go! (They look like reptilian skin with black stuff in.) It's useless to try all things possible.. So has anybody here experienced warts go away when put something on it? greetings Hans, Netherlands Yes - the miraculous herb neem . There's a reason why so many books have been written on it. I made a combination of Neem pressed oil, eucalyptus essential oil, lemon essential oil, thyme essential oil, garlic infused oil, castor oil (goes deepest in the skin, also good for warts by itself). The mixture was for two people with genital warts and it worked really well - read a lot people need surgery for these things - with this stuff they didn.t Didnt burn or sting either, in case anyone is wondering from the list of ingredients ROFL. Small warts came off within a day or two, just fell off. Real large ones took longer but still worked. I would try something similiar on your hand warts and see. Also try epsom salt washes to exfoliate dead skin, soften the wart area, remove toxins and deep cleanse the tissue. It can also get rid of warts on it's own after a time in some cases - I know this has happened with something called "acid warts" Erin
