If you post more about your body type or if you know your dosha, diet,

lifestyle, current medications, emotional or physical traumas, etc... the group

could probably give you more useful advise!

Happiness is within!

Hello Joanne ji Namaskar,

You could take Ayurveda Herbal Medicine - tab Manasmitra vatakam 1 tab twice a

day for 3 weeks and think about to go for Panchakarma treatments - specially for

2 weeks. It will change your life.

Do you suffer from any of these symptoms:

1. Burning sensation in stomach, food pipe, neck, burps, nausea sensation, mild

pain in neck, chest an houror two after meal, sometimes migraine, vertigo in the

morning, swelling in the throat. Many of these symptoms are related to

indigestion, acidity.

2. Did you suffer from any of the symptoms in past and have taken antacids for

long term?

3. How long you have been taking anti-depressants?

For a person detemined to fight the depression, it is not difficult, even if one

is addicted to anti-depressants. Emotional downs are the direct result of an

imbalance in Sadhaka Pitta, the subdosha that

governs the heart. Unbalance of pitta causes similar unbalance to sadhak pitta

also. When this gets disturbed, depression is generally the result. The sweet

taste pacifies pitta

and Vata, which explains our cravings for sweets; and resultant significant

weight gain too. Meditation, pranayama are drugless approaches to correct sadhak

pitta. Fasting on Ekadasi days also helps(Post# 9552). Observing nature, water

expanse such as lakes, beach, river, early morning walk and observing rising sun

for few minutes are also free medicines. Having a pet also helps. The vaccum due

to loss of beloved gets filled thereby. It is really a pity that human race has

to depend on animals to learn true selfless love and most aggressive animal can

exhibit selfless love(Post#7242).

Consult nearby vaidya (ayurveda practitioner). Do not stop allopathy

suddenly by going cold turkey. Following post recommends how to taper

off allopathy:

interesting point on how we need to rely on animals to experience

selfless love - that we can trust animals more than humans

sometimes......
