Guest guest
Hi Reeja, I am not a Vaidya or trained in Ayurveda. But I suffered from terrible GERD. I am in US and had a lot of stress. When I went to see an allopath, all they did was giving different kinds of Antacids then Pepsid, etc. After that they put me on PPI(proton pump inhibitor) for almost 2 years. Back then Prilosec was the New kid on the block! With all that I never felt better. I was extremely miserable and couldn't eat much and had a v.stressful job and had to commute quite a lot. Then I just decided to stop all the medications and also cut back on refined carbohydrates. Now I have completely stopped using white sugar and don't eat a meal with both Rice and Chapati. It is either rice or cahpati, but eat lots of fruits, vegetables, sprouts and yogurt. Also cook the vegetables as little as possible. Because the by the time we make Bhaji/Subji of the vegetables, it has lost most of its nutritive values! Believe me I feel like a normal human being and have a lot more energy! I stopped buying anything that has High Fructose corn syrup. Sometimes when I am outside(someone's house) I may have a little juice, etc. for courtesy and I suffer quite a bit from burping, etc. So I will just be refusing. The reason I am writing all this to you in because I was in the same boat as you are now. Some small changes in our life style can help quite a bit. And No Allopath Doctor can tell you any of this because their first URGE is start you on something and then keep increasing the dosage! All the best, Sujatha _______________ Can you please suggest any good physicians/Ayurved clinics in Chennai? Guest guest
Reeja, Hari Om ! I agree with SUJATHA.......... this is the correct way to get rid of GERD. Before you consult a physician, try the process for a few weeks. With best wishes, Swami Brahmavidyananda Saraswati Uttarakhand, India _________ If any of you had any PERSONAL experiences with any good physicians in Chennai, please forward me the contact details
